Same here — that’s why I sometimes read the Sniper fuel injection threads. But, the cost is too much for me when I can just try and be patient starting the truck 😀
@Pighead — thanks for advice re SOR. Will do the bending and flaring myself. Will search for folks here who have done it themselves to get insights on tips and tricks!
Looking at the SOR brake line kit and was wondering what people’s thoughts were.
Will have to figure which one would work best for me as I have a 67 FJ40 that I converted to disc brakes.

I have bent and flared lines in the past, so that’s also a consideration.
Two thoughts, (1) leave alone and enjoy, (2) try saving what you have until you ready for doing it correctly - rust treatment and temp fix. Not a fan of diamond plating.

Unfortunately too far away - NYC area.
Going to be looking at pin striping solution I can apply - decal of some type. Adding this to my winter project list, which also includes updating the cabin of the FJ40 - floor mats, and dashboard painting & trying to go back to original (1967) gauge layout.
Really think my FJ40 could benefit from some pin striping and like what @Fast Eddy did on his FJ40. Was wondering if anyone has done this recently and who are you using to do the work? Any "best" types of striping to apply? What art work do I supply or is it a conversation with the...
Thanks, I contacted thundermcawesum who has one and I am second in line. So, I will give that a day or so and the reach out to you— much appreciated re letting me know you have one as well!
I have completed rebuilding the knuckles and now I am reattaching the tie rods. However, when I reattach the tie rods the steering wheel it isn't oriented correctly - off by half a turn. I wasn't expecting this as I had a recent alignment and the steering wheel orientation was correct. Any...
@firemanj92 — I wish we could get the gate to open higher with your mod - noted you mentioned the height limit in your other post.
The rear hatch is just dangerous when open!
