My brother's got a 2006 1500 series Chevy Silverado. It's 2WD and probably never going to get a lift.
He wants to throw a custom tune into it, in an effort to squeeze a little more power out of it. (he's also got new wheels to go on, so he'll need to correct for the Speedo.)
Anyway, can...
Bringing this post back from the dead for an update:
Based on your recommendation I bought the Bridgestone Dueler Revo A/T's. They've been on the car for a little less than a year and have held up very well. They're everything you guys said they'd be: quiet on the highway, compliant ride...

Looks like a decent deal at $2000. What is this 7th injector though? I've seen various intake charge temperature reduction measures but I've never seen it done with an additional fuel injector.
How much boost can my 2002 Sport Edition...
Tire Rack came through. The tires got here almost a week ahead of their projected schedule. The tires are on the car right now and I'm still feeling them out.
I'll give a much better review when I get some miles on them.
Thanks again guys,
Alan
We've tried with EVERYONE to order them. Everyone's telling us the same thing, they're on national back order and they'll get them when they get them. Tire Rack is the only company that claims to have an expected date on which they expect to get a new shipment of tires.
Yes, we are...
I've checked with everyone who'd talk to me. Either they're 50 bucks more per tire (1010tires) or they just don't have them.
I want them, but not enough to pay an additional 200 dollars for the set.
I'll let you know if and when they get delivered.

Yeah, we want something better than stock. The stock tires are horrible in the rain and we get lots of it here in southern Florida.
Looks like we're going to have to wait. :/

Thanks Desertdude. That explains why there are no Revo's available. They're being given away as replacements...
Looks like we'll have to wait and see. Tire Rack says they should get a shipment on the 26th of December. We'd have them 5 days after that, give or take. They can't promise anything...
I've been calling around and finally had to place the order for the Bridgestone Dueler Revo A/T's with Tire Rack. The guy on the other end of the phone said they've been recalled.. Makes me nervous but I've never heard of a single instance of failure.
Anyone have any insight as to what the...
Damn... Every where I've visited or called that carries the Revo A/T doesn't stock them. It's usually a 5-7 day wait and they're 170ish per tire.
I noticed this morning the tires are worn to the bands on the insides of both front tires.. It's not safe for my wife or kids to be driving on...
Thanks guys. :)
We're going to look into the Dualer A/T Revos.
We're going to see if we can find them closer so we don't have to pay the 90 bucks for shipping. :/
I forgot to mention usage pattern. :)
This is my wife's primary method of transportation. It never goes off road, never sees snow (south florida) and sees a TON of rain through out the year.
We're more interested in an all season tire that'll give us a comfortable ride. Is the 265 series...
Hey guys, I looks like my wife's 02 Sport Edition 4Runner needs new tires.
I've been looking around on www.tirerack.com and all I'm getting is more and more confused as to what to buy.
So far I've found a set of Firestone Firehawk Indy 500's in a 265/70/16 size. for $75 each (Plus...
Title says it all guys...
My wife's the primary driver of the 4Runner and it needs tires. What do you recommend in the way of replacments?
We never off road the car and get rain a LOT.
Hell, I don't even know what size they are... :/
Thanks in advance,
Alan
Hey dude, i'm interested.
Can you please email me at aeossojr3@aol.com to further discuss what I need.
Your input would be greatly appreciated... Maybe I can work out taking the entire set up from you if it's worth keeping this sled..
Thanks,
Alan
And, now that I think about it, there IS a rotary knob you can twist to lock the front and rear diff. In either position the car acts exactly the same.
I don't think the switch/knob does anything at this point.
Also, there's a constant "click, click, click" coming from what i think is the...
Thanks guys.. i really appreciate your input.
If it was my Cobra I'd have it fixed already.. lol..
Do I need any special tools for the repair? (other than a press for some of the bearings.)
Also, could the frame being bent be causing the binding?
