Can anyone recommend a salesperson to work with? Interested in a vehicle on the pre-owned lot and will not be working with the person I initially spoke to over the phone again. Appreciate any recommendations. Thanks guys.
Your best bet is always going to be cutting panels from a parts trucks. The aftermarket panels from this company do not have a good reputation in the early 4runner/pickup world. Fitment leaves much to be desired.
I also have a box from WTOR and am experiencing the same problem.
Not sure what you mean by "resetting and retightening." Did you take the box apart and re-rebuild it yourself?
Those weights are more accurate. Definitely not the 160 mentioned earlier. There have been lots of LS swaps into these trucks. It's a tight fit and requires a custom radiator, but it can be done. A car intake will be necessary if you don't want a body lift and hood modifications. Manifolds are...
Great pics. Now it feels even more like black magic after seeing that photo with a clean inner fender. Wondering if the ADS have a shorter body than other manufacturers... I expected to see it way up in the engine compartment. I cut mine out for 12s!
Great stuff. Any idea what the weight of the rig/spring rate of the springs are? You must have the upper shock mount pretty high to be able to squeeze a 14" in there. I know guys fit 14" bilsteins on the more mildly built rigs, but the body on a nice shock is much longer. I have about 5" of...
Thanks for the vid. Very informative. I'd like to learn more about the leaf setup you have up front on that rig. Looks like it sees some abuse. Up-travel on the shock body looks to be about 4"? You mentioned having to utilize poly bumps. What brand/style have you found works the best? I would...
Rockers look great! Any more details on how you did them? I've been considering it, but seemed fairly involved with the shape of the panels there. Did you just cut and butt weld a flat piece of sheet metal to the bottom? Or flange it? Want to do mine too? :grinpimp:
I believe I used 1996 as my year to look up on Rock Auto. Bought an OEM Denso unit. Swap your stock 22r pulley (bore out ID ~2mm) to the Jag alt. I had a machine shop do it in 20 min for $20. I upgraded all wiring to 2ga and added a 150a slow blow fuse. Wire alt directly to battery +. Keep the...
Probably because most upgrade to something >60a in these trucks. My 85 was 60a from the factory. A Jaguar XJ6 Denso alternator is a direct bolt-in and is 120a. Clean and easy. Upgrade the wires and go.
Keep the Denso and skip the Napa... especially on a minty truck.
Is this the same truck you asked opinions on a little while back? Did the salesman have any answers for you to the things brought up in that thread?
