I have a stove that I purchased in the government liquidation auctions coming off of Fort Riley Kansas coming to Fremont Nebraska the stove is 52 inches long by 5 feet tall and 37 inches wide which is approximately 1200 pounds and will be able to be loaded on the flatbed with a forklift and...
I think the down side is that most parts will have to be used or perhaps re made with a machinist. Generally what I have seen is when these parts wear out a flaming river or other aftermarket shaft is put in its place. If this is a nut and bolt correct truck I am unsure where you can buy the...
That would make sense. The rag joint would possibly be the most likely to be worn I would think. I assume the truck has power steering being as it is an 82.
Sometimes the steering wander comes from changing the caster angle when you install a lift kit and it is essentially making you steer into the ground. If the truck feels like its following every rut in the road then it is probably the culprit. If you are turning the steering wheel and the tire...
I have the same year of truck that you do. If you need anything let me know. Those small reflectors on the sides were only offered for 8 months in our year and are hard to come by so make sure to be nice to them. The rear lights are a common LED upgrade to our old round rear lights. I am pretty...
Just sit down and take your time. Invest in a long set of feeler gauges as it will be easier to do gear spacing with them. The main thing is work one section at a time and follow the instructions. It really isnt that hard and dont try to bite of more then you can chew in a sitting. I think mine...
Holy cow this thing moved. Glad to see that Russ is still alive but I already knew that haha. Glad to see a new member, welcome. @solomrus when are we every going to do anything fun, put your shop on hold and lets go.
The Orion is very worth it. My brother and I built a propeller shaft a long time ago and it works for both the Orion and the aluminum just fine. You can see it in the 3rd picture. I works fantastic and we simply used the old bell housing ears rubber cushions and them welded the mount the the...
I used the holley sniper system. It is on a 350 but I have seen many people adapt the two barrel to a stock "f" motor with great success. I would say that it is probably the best upgrade I have ever done.
No one has RSVP'd or let me know one way or the other via email or on the forums. So I suppose it is a wash and my time would be better suited working on my house or my cruiser. I guess if anyone wants to try to pick up the ball and run with it, go for it. I suppose I am just disappointed.
From the poll we ended up with a Mahoney meeting on June 16th. I will bring stuff for sandwiches or hot dogs and people can choose what they want. I will have chips and drinks available. We can shoot for 12PM as a time to meet up if that works for everyone that way its not too early and not too...
We have a small group heading from Omaha, going down i80 on Saturday and stopping in Denver, then continuing to Moab on Sunday, If anyone wants to meet up and convoy let me know. I always like meeting other cruiser people
