I am looking for opinions on running a weber carb over the stock one on a 1F motor. I have read that they run better and gain more power with an upgraded electronic ignition. Mine stock carb needs rebuilding as this is a hard starting motor when cold.
Basically a stock '78 2f. I had a wiring problem for the running lights and fixed the problem. Had some crappy wiring connections and I put in a new (used) headlight switch. The truck now won't idle. Ran fine and idled fine until the wiring problem was fixed. It starts and runs good but...

I have a '72 fj40. Is it doeable to use a '79+ exterior gas tank as an extra fuel tank. I found a '79 for a cheap price but have not heard of anyone doing this.

I bought a FJ45 long bed not long ago needing much work. The PO has booty fabbed a bench style POS seat in it. I want to put bucket seats and was just checking what you guys have done. There is not a whole lot of room so I am looking for advice. Thanks for your input, Kelly.
Ran a search but nothing. Has anyone tried the "mean green" starter on a 2f and do you think it was worth the $. Also, is it correct that on the f mortor and 2f mortor the starters are swapable. Thanks for your input.
