There were a couple other threads I saw in the 80s forum but no real answers. Dome and CIG fuses are intact. I get 12v out of the cigarette lighter. I get nothing on the multi-meter from the dome. I think it all happened at the same time.
Ideas and suggestions from the other thread were: some...
Hi All,
I was washing down my truck with a five gallon bucket up in the woods and when I finished and started the truck a weird sound happened for a few seconds then my blower motor would only run on low.
Being that I still can turn it on and off I hoped that would help trouble shoot as the...
Spent all night last Thursday installing a new oil pan gasket to finally fix the 10 year leak I had. Got a full engine & undercarriage steam the next day. Checked this eve and the brand new gasket is leaking at the rear. I swear I had it in the groove just fine. Torque it down more? Any other...
Update for the archives. the adjuster cable inside the brake was stretched out to the point that even with a tight ebrake cable and the bell crank adjusters in almost all the way there was still too much slack to effectively spin the adjuster. New ones on the way.
Thanks, a quick search makes I think the MC I have is the one everyone is suggesting. Too Tall, I believe you're right, the adjusters are probably not working. When I would adjust the star nut from the backing plate I'd have rear brakes for a couple weeks, then nothing.
Wow, that is pretty! I guess it is right.
I've adjusted the LSPV up 2.5" to accommodate the OME lift and it made no difference. I also have a 1" MC to accommodate the larger 4Runner front calipers too. Maybe I have the wrong 1" that doesn't pump enough to the rear? If I had a Supra MC for...
First time doing the rears and I'm confused on one thing.
I watched this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3w_X8rN8-Wk and it shows the tension spring wrapped around the star nut adjuster screw thing. When I opened up my drums it wasn't connected that way.
Also, the picture in the fsm...
Also, there are a bunch of breather hoses attached to passenger side by the gas hole. Make sure you undo all of them before dropping the tank.
Hit the bolts early and with lots of PB blaster. I broke a bellypan bolt and had to drill it out and retap. Also broke the sender which was seized...
