Got a frantic call from my wife last evening that "something is really really wrong with my car" she was driving up a hill and the check engine light came on and 30 seconds later KABOOM and white smoke billowing from under the hood. I picked her up the the '87 FJ60 and saw the radiator spilt...
I will send pictures when finished and do a write up on how it handles, etc. I am also putting new to me tires and rims, 33X12.50X15 BFG Mud Terrains.

Can someone tell me the stock driveline length for the rear of an '87 FJ60? The dealer is claiming it has been modified and needs to be shortened!!!! Can someone measure from yoke to yoke ASAP. Thanks this is a great resource.
UPDATE - The kit is off the truck, old springs and shackles, shocks all went on without trouble and the driveshaft went right back into its proper place!!!! Time to start saving for another kit like OME that will work.

So, I had the dealer (yes the dealer of all people) take a look at my truck because I am short on time these days.....anyway, they said the carb needed to be replaced so I bought a new one and had them do that and new plugs. Long story short, I was talking to the mechanic as my truck idled and...
1. Would it fit with stock springs that are relatively flat?
2. 31" tires now, I heard 33" minimum for SOA or it will look really bad?
3. Cut and turn for a 60, is it necessary? Shackle reversal?

A strange thing happened this weekend when I changed from 10/30 regular to 10/30 synthetic oil, the pressure takes almost a full 10 seconds to build to H on the stock LC guage. Before it was almost instant pressure. Any ideas?

1997 80's series 69K miles, the oil pressure gauge moves between 1/4 and 3/4 depending on RPM, at idle it is around 1/4 or just under. Is this normal?
