I would love to give it a few more horse power. Not sure why, but I like the idea of a keeping it "in the family" if I do a swap. Thus the 1FZ.
If I stick with the 2F and just give it a refresh, maybe I can do a few performance tweaks. Exhaust manifold, FE .. that kind of thing.

I do not see 6R1 listed for the LC. Also, a quick net search turned up nada. Clearly they exist as two of the user uploaded photos (attached) under 1C3 are actually LCs in 6R1 color and the color is pictured in the brochure! See page 14 of the 2000 brochure (also attached).
Rather be.. did you figure it out? My stock 83 fj60 has similar symptoms. Weak, rough running when restarted after a few minutes off. My mpg is around 10 maybe a bit less. I've found mine will often run like a champ if I let it run for a few minutes with the choke out halfway.
