Mudder website manager pull it from our site. Althought interesting at first it detracts from the honest and good people who visit here often for legitimate information. These bottom feeders/scam dubshits make me personally very angry.
Very nice looking truck. If I didn't have one for sale for only slightly less I'd be interested. You did a very good job it looks like and should have no problem selling it. Does it come with doors, Safari doors and netting? Top? Very cool truck, congrats.
The '47 Willis is topless and low and will have the windshield down also so should be low profile. I plan to do a lot of research at a U- Haul place tomorrow morning. 12 mpg in 4th Huh?...not so great, but will keep her down. Did you use Cruise control while towing. Please forgive my nit noy...
Great advice. U-Haul hastle, check trailer tires, increase spacing...forget about a dolly trailer. Stabilizer and load leveler system to control sway and equalize load, trailer brakes.
I think the trailers come with surge brakes, for want of a better description. I am not wanting to get an...
Thanks guys. I have been concerned. Sounds like I will have to go for a full trailer with surge brakes and maybe a stabilization system. No expense is too much when it comes to being safe with precious cargo alright.
After the trip I will report in.
So much experience and knowledge out there, I need your advice/opinions. I have a new FJC w auto trans and stock tires. I am thinking of towing a 1947 Willis (Jeep) using a U-Haul trailer (one of those that you put the front wheels up on and drag the rear wheels along) from Little Rock to...
Thanks. Is the horizontial bar (and three upright/vertical bars) box metal or are they "C" metal? Looks like I am going to follow your advice. As for sending that old piece of s***, you will have the first right of refusal if I ever decide to get rid of it.
Thanks Duke and will do. Mine is missing the bottom cross bar and all the vertical ones. After seeing the pics in FJ45 Owners of "Topless in Nevada" I am thinking of taking it all off.
Had an FJ-40, have an 80 (254K miles) and 45 LB PU. Hooked on Yotas so when time for wife's 60th birthday she chose the FJC. We waited six months mostly because we wanted rear side curtain air bags and all options. I did not like that they advertised them with a GPS yet you could not get one...
OK... Year: 1973, VIN FJ45-59108 Model FJ-45 PB PU, engine '78 2F, trans-case 3-speed on the floor 4WD, axles "yes"?, tires one ton stock 16 inch 10 ply BFG, mods radio speakers, location Huntsville, UT. Brief history originally from Costa Rica, purchased Sept. 14, 2001 (guy showed up w LOADED...
Funny but opted to not get one yet after a six month wait I had to accept it with one on it. I was thinking about wind noise and I have it. Does yours without the roof rack?
