I've got it listed for 11,000 else where, but for the mud group it's 10,000obo.

Hey everyone,
Ive searched but not found the answer.
Looking for a step by step or how to on removing the turbo out of an hdj81 or 1hdt.
Thanks in advance,
Steve
I have a used recaro seat for an 80 series, that i've had in my hdj81 for a number of years.
Bolts right in, and fits either passenger or driver seat.
Some wear on the bolster, and has 2 small heat patches applied to reduce more damage from entry/exit into vehicle.

Shop can't get my truck in until well after the x-mas break to rebuild the turbo, so until then, she sits in my driveway until I get the money for a turbo rebuild, or some lucky mudder takes her away to a new home.
Turbo seal or seals are gone, and hasn't been driven since they went...
Hey Steve-O,
Long time no chat.
Sorry to hear about the truck; sounds like it could be turbo seals, but hard to know for sure. If you ran that low on oil anyways, it could be a ring job regardless. But then again, these engines are pretty bullet proof.

Hey mudders,
Just came across this news article, and is a big wake up call to those wanting to import something newer than 15years in Canada, and 25 in the US.
Makes any grown man want to cry.
I know if there is a will, there is a way, but would never want to see a cruiser end the same way...
This is a big issue that many of us are faced with. Best options; re-gear, but finding the right parts is challenging. I believe it's 3:73 that you want with hi pinion? 2nd option, rubber overdrive. Ran 33's, was crap, went to 35's and was better, thinking about 37's now.
My understanding is...
yes, a switch like that would do just fine with what you are looking to do. a 3 position switch.
wire one end to your lead from the head unit, one to constant power, and one to ground...i think...
anyways, this should do what you're looking for.
the cig lighter is a good place for 12v, but i...
i know i wired up my back up lights via the reverse switch on my 5spd, but maybe an auto box is different.
if you cannot find anything, i would still recommend a small switch on your center console, when you flip it in reverse, flip the switch and will do the same thing..one extra step...but...
...or wire up a manual switch, that you can turn on your camera anytime you want, with a flip/push of a switch, that is 12v run...
easy and quick option
maybe i'm not following completely, but from what i understand, you are looking at a 12v source, only when you are in reverse?
if that is the case, reverse lights, or reverse switch off of your gear selector..
let me know if that works??
Ateb recommended them to me but don't remember the name.
Super awesome to deal with too, and sent them out to me super quick.
I'll look around for the name.
