    VSC problem - help!

Been out for a few days - sorry. Nice thought, though. I'll check for loose shock. This began after a pretty aggressive offf-road rock climbing trip a few weeks after I installed my lift and diff drop. (First big trip). I'll let you know what I find.

    VSC problem - help!

Help some more! Got the vehicle back 3 weeks ago after the steering wheel sensor was replaced. Seemed like it was running fine, but I had 2 episodes of VSC alarm while travelling on a twisty canyon road (dry asphalt) yesterday. The vehicle didn't lurch or turn on me, but I'm pretty convinced...

    VSC problem - help!

Dealership found a steering wheel sensor bad - it was reading the wheel as turned all the way to the right. I just got it back, and we'll see if they were right.

    VSC problem - help!

Thanks for the tip - I've read the entire thread and it sounds like Spike's issue was never fully resolved, though. I'll have to report back after the dealer takes a look at the truck. I hope that it is as simple as resetting the CPU.

    VSC problem - help!

Was driving down the canyon last week when my flashing VSC light came on and beeped for a while. I slowed my speed thinking that I had tripped a sensor with a rock or something, when the truck suddenly pulled hard to the left. I controlled it and pulled over to check -- nothing obviously...

    Front end drift - Utah

Had my lift installed at Big-O tires in orem - they did a quick and great job. Had to add the 285/75's after that. Looks great, drives better. We'll see how things go in Moab next week. Next will have to be front and rear lockers - was recently told that newer e-lockers might be better than...

    Front end drift - Utah

thanks - I'll have the bushings checked after the lift goes in. I'm tempted to have lockers installed with a compressor at the same time. Any thoughts about advantages of both or single (front or rear) air lockers? Spressomon - I see that you have only front locker added - do you have the...

    Front end drift - Utah

Thanks, TM. I hope the lift makes the difference. Maybe I just don't know how to drive. I'll try Cruiser Outfitters.

    Front end drift - Utah

Bought a 2000 LC a year ago (now 135k miles) and just put on Slee Slider steps yesterday (they look great). My Medium lift with diff drop kit arrived on Thursday. I'd like to have the lift in and ready for a Moab excursion in 10 days. I have 2 questions: 1. For anyone: during the last...

    rear locker

Thanks -- I've been going through the archives and found similar advice for the most part. I drove the '99 and was surprised at how much more I liked the '00 on the road. I'm pretty sure I'm going to keep it. I took my stock '95 montero SR over the Moab elephant hill loop and was surprised at...

    rear locker

Bought a 2000 LC with 124k miles 2 months ago to replace my beloved '95 montero SR after my wife totalled it (she's fine). Now found a 1999 LC with rear locker switch and am trying to decide whether to trade. Question: Is the newer system (minus the factory rear locker) as capable with the...
