I've had a few questions about the rig
Picts coming this weekend as requested.
The bike will fit in the rig, but the front and rear wheel and bars need to come off. It's fairly painless and I can build a small pallet to keep the bike up.
damn. well if anyone needs a ARB with a warn winch for around $800 there is one in Manchester Missouri.
Guy hasnt gotten back to me with which model winch it was...
So I found a great deal on a ARB bumper and winch, trouble is its for a jeep... I have average welding skills and access to a decent metal shop.
Anyone have any experience taking an ARB built for another rig and trying to mod it to fit an FJ80?
Its for a 1993-1998 jeep.
thanks.
Thanks for stating the basics, it usually is the small things.
Yep, checking on level ground with engine at normal temps and doing the shifting thing, levels are fine.
I parked it on the driveway again last night with no leaks...checked the power steering and all is well there too.
We'll see...
Finally got the new rig...
It is a 1992 with about 140 on the clock that is pretty much bone stock. Everything looks pretty clean on it save the transfer case which looks like it has been split at one time.
I went thru and read all the oil changing procedures and did them all except for the...

1992 mint body, interior, frame, etc.

Looking for a daily driver/camping rig.
After looking at this and deciding it was way too much work for the money I'm wondering whats out there...
I'm in St. Louis, Mo. but will travel for the right rig. The paint and body do not have to be pretty by any means but I'm hoping for little to no...
I wanted a nice camping rig that I wouldnt care if it got the crap beat out of it, I wanted it for a couple years not a serious build. I'm in Missouri, right in the heart of salt country, if there is a chance of snow they salt the roads for a week before and a week after the storm. It was a...
yeah that rear section was pretty bad.
anything I need to go and look at during round 2 of inspections?
I wanted to do a compression test as well...
There is some body damage but this is going to be more of a rig that I get to drive and not worry about.
Thanks for lookin at it.
You guys see anything that screams dont buy this rig?
Much appreciated!
165,000 miles.

very little rust on the body.
seller wants 3200
Thanks in advance
I've seen it and driven it, it felt fine but how much can you tell by just driving it for 10 minutes...
So is 250k on an engine with no idea if its been rebuilt way old, is it gonna explode on the way home?... after reading some threads it sounds like $2650 is a little high for something with...
Engine compartment looks pretty good. There is no history on the rig unfortunately( it wasnt provided when he bought it)... it did blow a little blue smoke on start up and dieseled when I turned to key to shut it off... but that is just carb tuning right?
I'm on the fence about this one, I've wanted a 60 for a pretty long time but this has 256k ...
Seemed to drive alright and didnt seem to be blowing much oil out anywhere.
Sorry newb here and could use a voice of reason.
