That is encouraging.
I am getting GX460 KDSS RSB. They seems to have much more clearance. Hopefully they fit.

Picture below is 4runner trail that show much deeper bend.
How good is the non OEM booth sold by a couple vendors as high angle CV booth? My drivers side outer just start making noise. I caught the leak too late. I just bought a used one that look very clean but not sure I should replace the booth or just install it. I also need to do the passenger side.
No. I tried stuffing one in and I am short about 3/4-1" I have compact hitch and KDSS so it might fit non KDSS.
The one I read fit on 5th gen 4runner with cooper ST MAXX. That tire must run small. People also say they do not notice power drop with that tire while I definitely notice power...
The PO of my truck wire an IPOD wire to the CD changer input. I do not need to run blank CD. I just have to select CD and could play music thru it. I don't own any apple product so I just bought an adapter from apple to 3.5mm jack and wire it to my Bluetooth adapter .
Disabling the ABS/VSC/TRAC is quite easy. It's the ability to enable and disable at any time without restarting the engine is the one I am aiming for.
If you don't mind restarting you could do this by unplugging brake fluid level sensor and plug it back. In. You do not even need to keep it...
It's interesting that the instruction for FJ Cruiser above show supplying 12 volt to the circuit. The switch need to be turned on to enable VSC. The wiring diagram clearly shows that Pin 11 of connector LA2 on FJ Cruiser wiring harness would be grounded when rear diff lock detection switch was...
Looking at 07 FJ wiring diagram it does seems its just the wire for rear locker detection switch that they ground. They claim it disable everything but ATRAC still can be enabled disabled at any time.
Maybe grounding center diff detection switch will do the same thing for GX. Anybody know...
On FJ this seems really easy.
Too bad GX wiring is into the same. I trace the wiring on my 05 GX today and it's not the same.
There is EX14 on GX ABS/VSA/TC module but missing EX13 that FJ have. The module might be the same but pin 26 on GX is not even connected. If we could add this wire to...
Added 4runner trail bumper cover trim after trimming rear bumper. Happy to lose the mullet look from lower rear bumper after removing the running boards.
Hi @little_joe, I finally got back in 4X4 after been out since 2008. Got rid of my 100 series with OME because am tired of the nose dive and body roll.
Back in 05 GX because KDSS and wanted to try bypass shocks technology. After driving the GX for awhile I am actually not that disappointed...
Is desert running would involve hours of high speed running? The only one in your budget that would survive is only Ironman Foam Cell Pro and Dobinsons MRR.
Why do you need wide MT tires for desert running? I would think AT tires would work better.
The GX is the hidden gem in capable off roader market. With the failing air suspension and air injection problem lot of people got panicked and start dumping this vehicle. This are golden opportunity for people like us to replace it with higher quality off road suspension. The air injection are...
Got the tire installed and no rubbing at all on the road. I am sure it will off road. The KDSS might help a lot on the road and prevent rubbing. Have not check if it rub the frame at max turn or not.
Moving the front wheel liner and removing foot step definitely help. I am running stock 17x7.5...
Some emergency come up. My other car is down for the next 4-5 weeks. Big storm is coming I need new tires really bad. Not willing to buy tires twice so I ordered a set of 255/80r17 Toyo AT II that was on sale pretty cheap. This tire listed as 33.1" or 33.3" tall.
I have a temporary 1.5" spacer...
If you willing to travel you should go south. It's worth the trip to get something rust free. I just went down to Nashville last week to pickup an 05 with KDSS from private party. The frame are in mint condition.
