Haha some problems the 02’ and unders don’t have to deal with.
As mentioned above, there are def some diy issues that should not be too difficult to address. There is a whole write up about actuator motors from eBay, I too am a victim but did replace (and bought replacements) on eBay.
The...
It uses the same wipers as the 200 series. Same size on both sides, ask for the aero blades for an 09’. It’s an investment up front but after trying high trico, high end Bosch I realized the oem weighs twice as much and that helps prevent the bouncing, and now, every 12 months I just replace...
Yes. I had an FJ, I loved the FJ, it was a great truck. I’ve since got married had a kid (went through a Gx470/ gx460) then, went to the 100 series and questioned all my previous choices - you could compare them part by part and justify the 100 every time, but really it was just how the 100...
It’s been 20k miles since I posted last here. In this time period I replaced a door lock motor actuator, a starter and a coil pack. Ready for the next 200k.
I know it has been some time (if you are still on Mud), but did you ever find out why you are getting the vibration? I have something similar, tires balanced (several times) nothing glaringly wrong, just a vibration at 60+.
Amazon key still costs about an hour for a locksmith to program. I got the Amazon key, had it programmed, saved some money, but it is def “cheaper” feeling key than the Oe. I replaced the housing with the YotaMD (highly recommended) but changing the battery on the cheap fob still feels flimsy...
Imo HM doesn’t cause leaks. When you change oil (additive packages) it can expose seals that are at end of life that likely need to be replaced anyway, with the “conditioners” that it includes. If you change away from that and your seal dries up, then yes, you are going to get a leak.
My head...
Hi All,
Thanks for the help. I found the guilty coil (second to last one i pulled) and it was on cylinder 7 (for anyone looking for a statistical correlation). Funny enough, when i pulled 7, it was a coil that had been replaced in by a previous owner (with non oem). The kind of stuff I would...
Good call on that, I’ve been trying to run tech stream but can’t find a computer old enough. The misfire is getting worse and I’m suspecting another day may yield a code (I haven’t been using it but trying Bluetooth obd2’s that have not showed info - and have to wait until it’s warm for the...
Update.
I have tested 5 coils and got stuck on the fifth thinking that was my smoking gun. I did the first four, same issue. On the fifth, the coil struggled to come out and when it did, the boot was stuck on the spark plug - and so far was the only non-denso pack that had been replaced...
Yes, checked for codes, nothing.
I took another video that may be more clear - this one at 8 seconds. Almost like I left off the gas momentarily (but I’m not).
To throw another wrench at it, I think it’s only doing while warm… both times when I went for a drive after it’s been cold, it...
Hey everyone,
Yesterday, I started to have a slight hesitation / what sounds like a misfire (under load when accelerating) and I’m trying to figure out what it can be. My first guess is a coil pack (I have a replacement one - thanks mud) but I don’t know which one and I have no CEL. Is there...
