    I’m in Tennessee and the 80 spent most of its life in Colorado. I’ve broke a rear lower shock mount bolt(bolt extractor broke off in bolt) which turned into a nightmare. The other bolt that broke wasn’t too bad but I’m a tad gun shy. Jealous of the West Coast rig👍🏼

    How many of you have broke the nut weld on the bottom front panhard rod bolt, the one at the axle connection? I’ve broke 2 bolts already after soaking them in PB Blaster so I’m a little gun shy on that one. Thanks.

    It’s a 96 Toyota 80…. Here is a picture of what it plugs into. I’ve got the arrow pointing to the wire and it plugs into the circled part.

    Does anyone know what this is? It’s wired up next to the driver side firewall inside engine compartment. It’s not attached and hanging loose. I’ve had my 1996 80 for about 2 months now so still digging into it and just noticed this.

    Do the guys that run 33s(or equivalent) on a 2.5 inch lift care to share pics. Also with this set up what is your overall height from floor to bottom middle of fender flair? Or any measurement would help. I’m trying to be able to fit this thing in the garage after the lift if possible. Thanks.

    Found it… Ribbed one is for differential, flat one is for transfer case according to pictures on Wits End website.

    I ordered 2 sets of hex replacements bolts from Wits End and one pack had 1 style washer and the other pack had the other style. I ordered 1 pack for transfer case and 1 pack for differential. Just didn’t know which one was for which. Thanks

    New Belts and Idler Pulleys(Grinding Noise)

    Ok guys after changing the fan clutch all is quite now so that seemed to fix the issue… Appreciate all the help! I’ll reopen thread if sound comes back after further driving. Thanks again. I’ll also post a pic of the old fan clutch once it came out compared to new.

    I’ve got the fan clutch on order and I’ll update after it’s on and running… Hopefully this will solve my 80s mystery noise. Thanks for all the help.
