Not any fun, but I dropped it off to fix two oil leaks that have been getting worse. Replaced the oil filter bracket housing and o-ring as well as the rear main seal. $1,600 later and I’m finally done baselining my new rig. Last thing I need to do is my front and rear sway bar bushings and end...

These kits come with OEM parts to replace all the bushings for your suspension in the front and rear. It does not...
Mechanic found where the oil leaks are. First one is the oil filter housing and the second is the rear main seal. On top of the catalytic converter replacement it should take care of all of the issues I'm currently having and get me back to baseline. Next up is a full bushing refresh on the...
I have OEM cats coming unless someone responds with some decent options. I can get bolt on magnaflow for half the price, but I want to do it right unless I find people with 30k+ miles on aftermarket cats with no issues.
I have a pump for the fluids and Toyota is doing the transmission. Same as...
Hub to fender lip is at 20 3/4 ish now. The bumper up front keeps some weight on it.
Engine maintenance is pretty much solid. Timing belt and water pump are done. Radiator and all hoses were just done and filled with OEM red. Power steering pump and all hoses were just done. Spark plugs and...
I’ve read every thread in here about the P0420 code and have done almost everything to fix it except for replacing the catalytic converter. All new O2 sensors, air filter, oil change, replaced PCV valve, cleaned MAF sensor, cleaned throttle body, etc. I assume at this point whatever may have...
What's up everyone. I recently purchased a 2003 LX470 that the PO installed an OME lift on. All of the swaybar bushings, end link bushings, and ball joints in the front and rear are completely dry and cracked. The drivability isn't bad, but I want to make sure to keep everything as solid as...
There’s a possibility that it could be the PCV valve. It’s an easy thing to check and clean or completely replace. You can search PCV valve on the forums and there’s bound to be a great write up on how to get to it. I’d link one if I had it, but I didn’t look.
I assume these two hoses carry fuel? Is that something that I can just buy and replace from an auto part store? They’re both so brittle.
Here’s a pic of my PCV valve. I’m having a P0420 code, so before I replace the cats I’m trying to figure everything out upstream. I’m also going to clean my...
Perfect. That’s the kind of stuff I’m looking for once I’m in there.
I was going to get entire new LCA and UCAs for the front. Seems like Toyota didn’t want the ball joints out and the options are either full OEM replacements or low quality press in options.
Probably so. The bummer is that they didn’t really do any work under there besides the shocks/springs. It needs a full refresh of underside bushings front and back. I think I’m going to pull and replace the upper and lower control arms in the front and back and do front and back sway links and...
The tough to reach VC bolts on the driver's side closest to the cabin were loose as well. Tightened everything up and hoping they help seal the leak. Used more Purple Power degreaser and cleaned up a ton. Day by day figuring it out.
I have some Berryman fuel injector cleaner in the tank now...
Ok. I don’t notice any more weeping from the valve cover on the passenger side, but I’m still getting a collection of oil right at the flywheel window. I attached a pic of a mess I see on the drivers side right above the front corner of the oil pan. What would be above that that may be leaking...
