I planted over 200 Marijuana seeds and got one healthy sprout, so don't feel bad @bobm. I ended up just buying starts at the dispensary. We'll see how that goes... As for my real garden, I got a few more 100' rows cleared today, I got a row of cucumbers seeded, and irrigation tape run. That...

It's nice to serve as a positive example for once in my life!

I'm still tripping out about finally catching up with Ben, after 22 years. I'm really excited to meet him and show off the truck. When I was shopping for it I was looking for an FJ40. Fj40s were and still are very expensive, and when this Fj55 popped up, it piqued my curiosity. I got online...

I use the term "Kid" liberally. Big dopey adults qualify. If it had been an actual kid, you know a young small human with an open mind, eager to learn things I'd have told him all about it. My swiney senses told me he wanted an audience forvwhich to recite the brand names and part numbers of...

I smell a you tube video cookin' How cool is that? My landcruiser infected BenjaminCA with the swine flu and got him started playing with landcruisers years ago. Now he has a huge you tube channel about landcruisers and apparently everyone but me knows who he is. I'm really excited for all of...

Interesting things have come to light. I was surfing (do people still call it that) the pig picture album and came across this image which caused me to pause and take a closer look. Upon further inspection I do believe I've found a photo of my FJ55 from before I owned it. The mirrors, they're...

You're welcome to stop in any time, send a PM for the address and if you give me a days notice I'll find something to BBQ. You can see my small collection of misfit toyotas...

Lots! I think my record was 21 gallons of pasta sauce one year. 2 years back I canned pickles. Probably 36 or 48 quart jars of homegrown pickles... Same goes for Jalepenos. Several cases of quart jars some with carrots and garlic some just jalapeños and salt. Btw. Sorry for the thread crap on...

Today I used the FJ 55 to take my starts out to my garden. I got 2 rows of tomatoes and a row of cucumbers planted from starts, then I pulled irrigation tape. I think the garden is looking really good about now. I'm hoping to have lots of good food to eat!

Remember the order of operations. First get a sense of what the carb is or isn't doing before going in guns blazing, get a sense of what's going on, that will help you determine what area specifically needs attention once you're in there. Check compression first. (Maybe adjust valves) then...

After my recent 4x4 adventure and a few trips down the highway I had enough data to calculate my fuel ahem economy.... It's not great. 10mpg was the figure I came up with. I know I don't quite have my carb dialed in since fixing the accelerator pump. It idles high, and when you're...

Thinking about the build. Next Steps for Zeke

I gave up on fixing old throttle cables when I had one stick. I avoided tragedy, but others may not be so lucky. Throttle cables should be available so no need to salvage old stuff. I think the one for my fj55 was about $30.

I've got a better idea. Hear me out, because it's radical and unconventional, especially for these forums. Take it 4 wheeling. Looks like a perfectly good rig, go enjoy it. Don't do any mods, just drive it and appreciate it for what it is and for not being what it isnt... If you need...

Block drain? Maybe packed and plugged with sediment and dirt, so mostly sealed. Start poling around in there with a pick and see if you get it to drain, then put a plug into it.

Deer creek, antelope creek and mill creek run all year long... I've never come anywhere near running low on water out there. Hot, yes, but there's creeks everywhere and they run all year long.

There's still lots of deer up there, and if you can't find a deer shoot a steer... Just kidding of course, the cattle all belong to someone... I personally think it's pig party worthy. Some people probably will disagre due to it being in California, but I think it would be perfect for a pig...

Today I came out of tractor supply to some kid in a jeep (with racing slicks) losing his mind. He wanted to talk, i didn't. If you can't keep tires on your POS, then stop eyeballing my POS.... Buh bye. On my way hone I dropped a c note on a new OEM radiator cap and 2 new wiper blade inserts at...

    Inner window felt length

Do you still need measurements off of the tailgate felt? I have one, intact as well as both standard and metric tape measures. Let me know if I can be of assistance. Part is most likely off a 1972 model year.

It means literally "without air" aerobic means with air, anaerobic means without air. The stuff cures in the absence of oxygen or something like that, your mileage will vary.
