Such a bummer. I'll ping them sometime this week as well.
I've been searching for a 3 dial but its gotten nearly impossible to find one with the pigtails.
Hey, it's been a while. Did you ever find a solution or viable product for your screen replacement? Not a whole lot of people out there that are in our predicament.
At this point I'm considering just biting the bullet and trying to pick up a "3-knob" control panel.
Hey guys - My right side battery took a dump and I'm looking to replace both. Issue is, I'm having trouble finding a "good" replacement for the right side, given that the terminals are oriented opposite of most group 27 batteries. I'd like to have the same unit on both sides with the same specs...
Hey gang. I paid someone to retrofit some HID projectors into my 2002 headlamps, and they didn't do a great job. In fact, they did a really, really bad job. Aside from a half-melted tab and scratched shrouds, the headlight housings no longer adjust up and down, OR right and left. I suspect it's...
You were right on here. I still need to check the rear sensor but I jacked up the front just now and pulled off both of the link/arms that attach between the sensors and the UCAs. On the right side, the sensor "nub" that goes through the lever (the nub that is a square shape on one side and an...
Other things to note:
- AHC seems to be a little confused sometimes but never to this extent (ie I notice it levelling things around while at a stoplight sometimes)
- Drove through some very heavy rain yesterday for the first time since owning the vehicle...
- AHC fluid is perfect, globes are...
It's annoying, but this pic still makes me laugh a little
Pulled into a gas station and immediately noticed something wrong. The back was so far up there that it far exceeds "high" mode on AHC. The front clearance is consistent with "neutral", but the indicator on the instrument cluster reads...

I let the guy know that I'm not in a position to test the head unit at this time, but that someone else might reach out. Would either of you gents like to request a free radio unit from "Autojeta" on AliExpress? That looks like the sketchiest thing I've typed in a while but I...
You're right. They're essentially asking for a beta tester.. Getting a free unit is a good trade for putting in the (probably) hours of work to troubleshoot.
Hey. I went ahead and pinged them again.. Here's the news (translated):
"The factory has debugged the software, but we have no customers to help us test it for the time being. If you buy our machine, we are 80% sure. If some functions do not work, we can upgrade and measure the voltage, etc...
That's actually where I'm at at this point. It's a risk taking it to different inspection places, but it is a very light leak and my plan now is to add some stop-leak, drive it for a week, blast the sh**t out of the boots with brake cleaner and take it into a different shop. Fingers crossed..
So I took my 2002 diesel back in for it's re-inspection today after putting on fresh inner/outer tie rods, which the first inspection picked up. Well, now they're saying that the rack is leaking.. I'm ready to strangle these people. I need to get this through provincial inspection to...
Will do! 285/70/17, went with the Michelin A/Ts for predominantly highway driving. I had everything shipped to my parents place in Idaho to save money, just have to wait another couple weeks for them to come up.
Happy to see someone else running the Method Bronze on white truck look. I just ordered the 706's for my cruiser and thought that the bronze would look super sharp.. You've proved that theory right! I ordered 17" with 0 offset so we'll see how that goes, with respect to fender rubbing.
Hey Phil,
I'm resurrecting a rather old post of yours here, apologies - I'm seeing a lot of data on this thread but am not 100% on the newest (and least expensive) products/software needed to interface with a JDM land cruiser. Could you point me towards the cable you purchased?
Thats super surprising about the DRLs, that has always been the #1 guaranteed thing on the cars I've brought in from the USA.
But yeah, pretty standard fare for a 20+ year old vehicle. Just finished spending almost double that total repair bill on a new set of wheels with fresh rubber. We do...
Very cool! I would recommend doing the import if you find the right vehicle. The one I got was an auction grade 3.5, so while there are a few little wear things (carpet stains and vinyl scuffs), overall the vehicle was pretty immaculate for being 20 years old. Clearly garage kept and...
Well that worked out well! You've probably gotten really quick at disassembling/assembling that center area..
One of the vendors (Autojeta) is apparently working on a harness. They might all be the same vendor, no idea. I checked in on Feb 8th and at that point he said "give us another 2...
