My first 100 cost $21K over the $21K I paid for it to get things fixed and repaired. i.e. timing belt, water pump, belts, hoses, heater core, axle rebuild, stereo replaced, etc., etc. Now I have an Ok rig that's only worth a little over half of what I have into it, and the only real upgrades...
It appears most of the low mileage and/or low cost 100's are popping up on the Western half of the country, especially California.
Unfortunately, I can't find what I'm looking for, or at least what I want with less than 200K miles.
Is wanting a rear locked LC with gray interior, no wood grain...
I'd say prices are dropping, especially if people are desperate.
I called, and just missed this one. Don't know any details other than it had less than 200K miles. Was in California.
It popped up on Craigslist. Seller wanted a high price for it, and after he realized no one was interested in paying his price, he settled on my offer.
However, the problem with Craigslist, I have about a 20% success rate of seller's responding to my inquiries, and another 20% success rate to...
96/97 did have cloth seats available, but not in any great numbers, as most were leather. I had a 96 with cloth interior, but the vehicle was a little too worn and crusty for my likes, so I sold it.
Keep looking, they're out there. I just scored a 97 Triple Locked Slick Top, unfortunately it...
So I found almost the perfect 100, 91K miles, grey interior, no woodgrain, perfect condition, etc.
Everything except rear locking differential.
It was at a dealership, and the price was reasonable.
Find me what I'm looking for, and I'll pay you a $500 finders fee if I buy it.
Had to follow the link just to get the price... I hate that.
FYI, I have the K295 in one of my FZJ80's, and told the limited slip clutch plates don't last too long. How long, I don't know, but I have ~ 248K Km (around 150K Mikes) on it, and it appears to be working.
Looking for a 98 or 99 Land Cruiser.
Please read the entire description before responding.
Must meet the following criteria;
LHD
Under 200K miles.
Rear factory locker.
Gray interior with black trim.
Rust free and accidents free.
Preferences;
I like gray colors, but can live with just about...
Looking at a LJ77 European Spec with the 2.4L Turbo. I live at 8700-ft elevation, and Winters are cold and long up here. So a small turbo diesel is not ideal climate for me, nor would it work well on the steep mountain passes. Is it worth getting it and dropping a 1FZ engine into it, and is...
Need more details... People don't buy 80's without knowing all the details, like they would a 200 series, which are always fully optioned other than maybe a third row seat.
I'm finding many 100's with similar stories, often current owners finding out after the fact the odometer was rolled back, and now they're sending at a loss, and it doesn't help that market prices are falling.
So how easy or hard is to roll back a electronic odometer?
I have the itch to get another 100 series. Sure, I'd like to get another from overseas with manual transmission, even a 105, but right now it's not in my budget for one of those unless I can sell one of my 200's, or the 60.
Can't help but notice the price of the 100's are dropping faster than...
Interested in the Cloth seats (front only if you will separate), and possibly the upper part of the dash if it doesn't have any cracks or blisters. Price shipped to 80428.
