    2015 70 series aftermarket

Hi guys - I've owned a 2007 79 series V8 from new, and while we don't do the sand driving like in other places in the world, I cant fault the drive ability of this model over the old 70 series. The old model was great, but this model does everything the old model did - but easier and it feels...

    Best adjustable shocks?

That's very good to know I know a few guys with ARB upgrade on the 70s MWBs and gives them a good lift , but in a few months they have "settled" back to almost original, and following them even in a stiff truck like mine they are lifting wheels all over the place on the rough stuff...

    Best adjustable shocks?

Clint79 Old man Emu are big over your way arent they??- - I read a 4x4 Australia mag, and they rave about ARB and Old Man Emu shocks and springs. Tough Dog used a lot here as is Rancho. Interesting comment re the leaf springs i had not realized that. I guess if you change shockies you really...

    70 Series V8s Good - Bad & Ugly

Your knowledge is far greater than mine - so yep they did let it slip. "C" Blocks??. I have heard the V8 is actually two diesel corolla motors as you nicely put it "simesed" together. Are these the C blocks?? oil usage - the handbook says in certain conditions upto 1 litre in 1000klms is...

    70 Series V8s Good - Bad & Ugly

We are about 3000ft above seal level here, place called Mt Patriach. Its about an hour from home. Real handy 4WD territory. This was winter 2010, we had several good snow falls, so we just had to have a play. This was real powder snow, very soft. I was amazed at how far we managed to push our...

    70 Series V8s Good - Bad & Ugly

Thanks for that it was set up to fulfill multiple rolls, shopping trolley, rubbish / firewood transport, tourer, trail hack, long distance Cruiser, campin wagon, tow wagon.. and anything else you can put on the back or lift on to the towbar. My wife has a car but we tend to use this more than...

    70 Series V8s Good - Bad & Ugly

Not sure that we have to have it serviced by an agent - I have a 5 year warranty with the truck which gave me the confidence to buy a new model in the first place. That plus the reputation the 70 series has in several markets, Toyota could not let that slip, and to date they have not...

    70 Series V8s Good - Bad & Ugly

Hi all, I have not seen a lot about the latest 70 series V8s, my own is now 4 years old and is now the "old " model the latest shape getting the addition of airbags and a new dash. I'm aware that only NZ and Australia have the V8 diesels but would welcome any feedback / discussion on the...

    2009 short wheelbase landcruiser

Nice truck Agreed 70 SWBs were a great truck, 1 of these with the V8 diesel would be wicked - in a very nice way. When did the last new SWB 70 series go on sale. ??

70 series decks Since we are still on the subject of 70 series decks look what I found today - quite a few of the trucks here, last of the 70 series shape, this being a 79 series. The next model after this here in NZ was the 70 series V8. The tipping deck however is pretty rare,

    Builds Troopie build

AGREED - I'm absolutely blown away with the depth of knowledge I see appearing on these pages, the skills of some of the "Technicians" and the projects they undertake, and the quality of the finished products, and the greatest of all is the information that is shared - its just awesome...

    Lifting the troopie

Probably just as well Mr Happy needs a new heart, the old 1HZ will struggle to push a decent width 35. Have you considered the "gearing up" effect the larger tyres will have.?? Lots of landowners don't like lifted trucks with 35s, and if you are not into competition type stuff, just for general...

Four high problem can someone help me please

Check the owners manual will all be in there or on a sticker on the sun shade or on the inside of the driver s door. Either that post a pic of the front hub will all become clear. Does it have factory lockers front and rear?? I know of 2 of the previous 79 series here ( Diesel turbo straight 6)...

Four high problem can someone help me please

They may engage automatically when you shift into 4hi via an electric switch on the lever, I think you would soon discover if you had manual hubs, you would have no front drive in 4WD. All our new 70 series have manual hubs, but the SWB may be electric. How long have you had the vehicle??

Four high problem can someone help me please

Good luck bit of a shame the kit has to come out. There are heaps of 70s with 50mm lifts, even late model ones, although we do not get the new model SWB here only 76s 78s and 79s
