Part number & name?? A/C cutoff sensor

Just an idea, what if we found a similar sensor and replaced it with said sensor + pigtail? Something such as this: Luckily this isn't a mission critical sensor and leaving it unplugged or without a connector will not affect the AC. The downside is that if we are overheating, the AC will...

CDL Actuator, Which Way is Locked?

The transfer case is out of the vehicle. With the actuator removed, I can provide 12v and turn the motor one way, reverse polarity, and turn it back the other way. The manual states: I've verified the shift linkage is good to go and definitely locked. Which direction does this motor need to go...

Part number & name?? A/C cutoff sensor

Reviving this thread again. Does anybody know where we can find the connector itself, or can we just leave it unplugged and or bypass it? It's really close to this DS-250 connector, but not quite: https://www.easternbeaver.com/Main/Elec__Products/Connectors/Sealed/DS-S/ds-s.html Plugs into the...

1FZ-FE Rebuild: Would you reuse this oil pump bushing?

I'm following up here with this information about my existing oil pump bushing: Inside diameter of bushing 1.190” Outside diameter of oil pump gear shaft 1.178 Meaning I have .012" of clearance between the bushing and the gear shaft and it seems to wobble around way more than I'd like. Yes...

    Cracked Block 1FZ-FE

I stitched it and I think it's going to be fine. (if not, well, damn!) I was able to borrow a stitching kit from a machine shop, and lock-n-stitch themselves "only" wanted $400ish for a full DIY kit. I did not dive into the freeze plug bore as I don't trust myself to repair that correctly. I did...

1FZ-FE Rebuild: Would you reuse this oil pump bushing?

I got new OEM head bolts during Black Friday. About $40 or so off which was enough to make me finally pull the trigger. Free shipping too! So does anyone know the OEM part number for the freeze plugs located here? I have not been able to find them in any parts diagram. For future readers...

1FZ-FE Rebuild: Would you reuse this oil pump bushing?

Looks like it? I didn't know there were oil galley balls behind the two smaller plugs..? The Toyota diagram doesn't show it and it looks like they just put the freeze plugs/caps in on this post? Oil galley plug- 1HZ-FE - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/oil-galley-plug-1hz-fe.1261193/ (the post...

1FZ-FE Rebuild: Would you reuse this oil pump bushing?

I have. I've went through basically every thread on the topic on Mud. The verdict is clear as...mud. Basically people have come to the following conclusions: "Toyota knows their own bolts. If the FSM says reuse them if they're in spec, then reuse them" "I've reused them up to 3 times" "Never...

1FZ-FE Rebuild: Would you reuse this oil pump bushing?

I'm rebuilding my 1FZ-FE and I just got the block back from the machine shop. I specifically asked them to not clean the block with a caustic mix as to not damage the oil pump bushing, and they told me they used detergent. After picking up the block, I noticed the bushing is a little discolored...

    1FZ ECT Sensor Connector/Plug

The back of the plug has the part number 10737-11062 on it. 11062 references a waterproof type connector as listed here in a previous mud post. It looks like the part number prefix to every connector listed in that post is 90980 followed by 11xxx. So it appears that my part number would be...

    1FZ ECT Sensor Connector/Plug

I was asking the question honestly, no intention to provoke. I am currently rebuilding my engine and trust me when I say everything is Toyota OEM in the rebuild so far. Appreciate all the input and knowledge. Thanks.

    1FZ ECT Sensor Connector/Plug

I appreciate all the input and help! Respectfully, what does it matter if the connector plastic is chinese, japanese, taiwanese, whatever? It's a housing that holds terminals and serves the purpose of connecting the wires to the sensor. If the connector clips onto the sensor, and the original...

    1FZ ECT Sensor Connector/Plug

I've already replaced the knock sensor pig tails and all 6 fuel injectors. Now I'm looking at what I believe is the pigtail for the ECT Sensor. Intake side of the cylinder head. I *think* this is the connector. 90980-11062 Amazon link here Can anyone verify? Pics of broken plug attached. For...

Anyone running the Icon Rebound Pro wheels?

Searching comes up with quite a few people running the standard Rebound, but is anyone running the Rebound Pro? I find these to be a very interesting take on a "bead lock". It's kind of like Method's Bead Grip, but uses hardware instead to lock the bead against the lip of the wheel...

    Cracked Block 1FZ-FE

@BillyGoatMTB How did it hold up? I just pulled the engine out of my 80 to do the timing chain slipper + head gasket and found the same crack... Lock N Stitch quoted me $1200 - $1500 to fix it. Tried drilling the end of the crack and stopped, got cold feet...don't want to make it any worse.
