The thread size is a super unique seatbelt thread. This is to make sure people don't use low quality bolts from Home Depot.

You could order from McMaster or from a bunch of places online.
Just wrapped up the captains chair middle row mod. I started by moving the bench seat to the rear. Details on that found here:
HZJ77 - adding a 3rd row
The rear bench still folds forward, so there is still plenty of storage back there.
I then bought @FJ73Texas old front row seats from...
Mine was whining from the junction right at the top of the intake manifold. That gasket had failed as evidenced by oil coming out from the joints.
Sounds like you have an exhaust leak though. Exhaust leaks are pretty easy to find by inspecting each joint. Or, you can get crazy and plug the...
It had to be trimmed along the entire A-pillar, along the edge that touches the window. I don't remember how much had to be trimmed off. It was just enough to get it to catch under the lip of the windshield rubber seal.
This was only possible, because the trans pan was removed.
The stick length is based on it stopping at the top when you push it in to its holder at the top of the engine.

I just did a manual conversion in my 77. It was a massive undertaking, and I do this for a living. Parts from like seven different countries.

You can see the full details in my signature.

But good point on the extended crank filling up the oil galleys for you. That would work great.
Yuck. I'm sure you did this already, but clean that thing off. All that oil in the connector will cause all sorts of problems. Hopefully the oil did not wick too far up into the harness.
All that oil in the harness would also make the dash light both intermittent and ambient temperature...
Send a picture to these guys. Usually costs $120 per connector with pigtails already attached. It's a lot, but they make it plug and play.

Just disconnect the fuel cut off solenoid. It's on the backside (firewall side) of the fuel pump. It should have one wire going to it.
Once that is disconnected, it will shut off fuel to the engine, but you can still crank.
Death wobble is always caused by:
Bad stabilizer dampener
Loose front end anywhere
Bad alignment (like really bad)
All of these are really easy to check with the vehicle in the air. It's similar to a Jeep steering system, and Jeeps are notorious for death wobble. We fix it multiple times...
