Congrats on your purchase! I bet you are over the moon! =)
I’m looking to join the LC club soon. I found an 84 Fj45 Troopy (in Germany), for under 20k euro with no rust so pretty excited...AND I have my Tacoma as my dd while the Troopy is being worked on.
Are you looking at a Jeep AND a Landcruiser? What kind of Jeep? I love the older ones but still think LCs are better. =)
Edit: Never mind, just read the later posts. =)
Picked up a new rig a month ago and drove home from the shop yesterday after a paint treatment and ceramic coating. 🤙 Lovin’ the his thing so far, my first Taco ever! ☺️
they range between 8-14k for good ones. I will ship through the u.s. government so paperwork is not too bad. also they're listed as 4runners over here in europe…at least the ones Ive seen.
Diesel powered 4Runner. Are these desirable in the states? Theyre much cheaper here in Europe than Landcruisers so figured Id ask the experts. Not sure why as they “look” as good as the LCs. :)
That is a beautiful rig you have! I am complating on which model to get here in europe to bring back to the states. Right now its between a dieseled fed 60s or 80 series. How is the ride quality in the 62 compared to your 80?
I will definitely attend if my work schedule permits, would be great to meet you if nothing else. My first choice is an original condition Troopy, 70 or 80 series. 80s seem to be more than I’m willing to pay anyway so I’ve been focusing on 70s series.
By the way, I found this Troopy listed by...
All valid points thank you. I agree, I far prefer the original paint, not to mention that original patina. Yes there are shifty dealers over here I’m sure, but what makes it even more difficult is the language barrier, not their fault. Lol One thing I have noticed is that German dealers are VERY...
Great advice thank you very much. I have not seen the vehicle yet, haven’t gotten that far. Asking price is 22k euros. I am planning to view it next weekend, it’s 4 hours drive from me…I will bring a magnet with me. ;) What is zinc passivated?
