Afternoon fellow Mud H8ers,
I did a front headlight and fog light swap with aftermarket lights a while back. I like the look and the performance of the new lights so the old ones are just sitting. I am willing to give them away… for freeeeeeeee….. to a lucky LC100 owner. I am willing to ship...
Welcome to the highs…. And lows of loving a Land Cruiser…
I also have a steering issue and was able to secure a new steering rack from CarParts.com for around $250.00. Hope that adds a ray of sunshine to a somewhat cloudy day…
Yes! There are LED replacement bulbs for those “tube” type bulbs. Lots and Lots of cheap interior light kits on Amazon. I even found the ones for the vanity lights in the visors. Let me know if you need help finding them, I’ll see if I can find the link for them.
Got a 2005 w/ 310k miles. Bite the bullet and replace both the front cv shafts. Just had the same problem and tried the repairs, but resolved to the swap. Fairly easy, just time consuming for me. Didn’t have all the right tools and had to buy what was needed. Rig feels more solid and drives much...
Thanks for the heads up on that. I have been dreading the steering rack replacement cuz of the things I’ve seen and researched on it. However, I am also excited to get everything done as I can tell a huge difference already on how the rig drives and rides.
S’up everyone. This past holiday week I spent the week sick and working on my rig. Here is a list of what I actually got done. I would like to say that this forum is amazing and was able to answer almost every question that came up. So Thanks to all that contributed over time. Also the videos...
The reflector assemblies are meant to work with LEDs according to the info provided. However, since I try to not be a @&$*#… (well…. not a COMPLETE @&$%!€)
I also adjusted the lights to the proper angle to hopefully prevent that from happening.
Turned 302,000 miles today & replaced the OEM headlights and turn signal assemblies after someone was kind enough to smash mine while they were drunk… $350 dollars later, and the new ones were installed and looking goooooooood!!!.. got new LED headlight bulbs on the way to replace the halogen...
This week my rig turned 301,000 miles. I found the cause of the hesitation that developed, (and reaffirmed my belief about only certain friends helping with engine work.) changed the oil, greased everything (maybe a few things that didn’t need it), installed new valve cover gaskets, new plugs...
Welcome to Ih8mud! Not been here long myself and already found a ton of good info, pleasant people, interesting pics and others sharing a luv / h8 relationship with their LC, FJ, or whatever mud buggy that own.
Thanks for the quick reply. I was reading your post to see if I could lend any advice and posted my question in the wrong section. I see you got much better advice and information than I could have provided anyway. Best of luck with your LC! I love mine.... and all her problems!...
Any chance the PCV valve being damaged could cause a skip/hesitation issue @ 1800RPMs under mild acceleration? Under hard acceleration, there is no skip/hesitation. No codes showing and searched for nested codes... nada
Today my sweet LC turned 300,027 miles!.:)... & most of the items I ordered for her tune up has arrived. Denso plugs, Valve Cover Gaskets, Timing Chain, & LED Head Light bulbs, new wheel bearings, Lucas AT fluid, Castrol Oil & filter, Lucas Diff Oil & Brake Pads.... Still waiting on the new Head...
