Spec's on new LC's and other Toyota products

What I thought was interesting was the fact that the 4runner leads the LC in many area's. I guess we will have to wait for the next generation LC for it to become the leader again. Example the brakes on the 4runner are bigger, it also carries a larger payload and can tow more weight then the...

    Piston Slap

There are some reports through the years of Tundra owners with 4.7 V8 engines reporting engine slap. How come there are no reports of this with 100 series or LX470's? Only difference I can see is that the LC/LX engines are built in Japan and the Tundra/Sequoia's are built in USA??

VVTi question about the new 4.7 V8

The addition of VVTi seems like more of a non-issue for the 4.7 V8 in our application, tell me if I'm wrong?? Doesn't VVTi benefit you more by adding to your HP at high RPM's? It also flatens the torque curve but were only talken about maybe 10 ft. lbs of torque. To me this is a PR change to...

It does matter where your vehicle is built

Check this out. The new GX470/4runner is built in this factory. Looks like Arco is not even in the same ball park. http://www.detnews.com/2004/specialreport/0402/22/a15-70498.htm

    100 series Spark Plugs

Could you post what year LC/LX you have and what your owners manual states, regarding what spark plugs you should use (the brand and the number, example Denso 1GG445). Also what does your owners manual state regarding change interval, and what octane gas they recommend. Thanks

Will the new larger 13.3 frt. disks fit on the 100 series?

The GX470 and 4runner sport run 13.3" front disks versus the Landcruisers/LX470 12.2" front disks. Can you install the larger 4runner frt. disks on the 100 series LC? Wonder why Toyota puts smaller disks on the LC/LX470 and Sequoia? Wonder if it is just old design versus new?

    100 series lug nut count

The 100 series Landcruiser uses 5 - 22mm lug nuts, while the new Sequoia's and 4runners use 6 - 21mm lug nuts. I would think that it would be just the opposite? Usually the heavier the truck the more lug nuts.
