Here’s something I never really paid any attention to; My ‘75 FJ40 had been converted to Saginaw power steering before it was acquired by me… I did change all of the connected hardware from the column to the power steering gear box for improved connection but the remainder of the parts for the...

For Sale  NJ. FJ40 rear diamond plate corner guards

These good condition diamond plate quarters came with my 1975 FJ40. I took them off as my preference is to not have them mounted on the truck. They have a cut-out for the rear marker side lamps on both panels and the lower hinge for the ambulance doors. They are also drilled for the rear...

    Stock spark plug wires

I am going to do a simple change of my stock spark plug wires this month if I can make the walk to the shop. They are getting a bit stiff. I also seem to be flooded with fancy sales buzz words about spark plug wires and prices from $20.00 to $112.00 per set. I recognize there are some real...

Help Identifying this (speedometer?) part…1975 FJ40

This comes about because the dash speedometer in a 1979 FJ45 does not work… the cable runs from The Transmission straight through to the back of the speedometer. I have not investigated it further yet by removing the cable from the transmission and see if the cable is intact. I also remember...

    FJ45 Dash Panel Ammeter Wires

Did a search and found a few thoughts on this topic but I am still a bit confused. Wiring does this to me lately the original dash panel has been replaced but the ammeter is not doing anything so opening it up reveals the wiring shorted together and I assume, as a bypass. Battery charges at...

    Interior Re-finishing questions

Ripping out the flooring in the FJ45 and there is a ton of residue left behind. What would be a good way to strip all of this away? I was not planning to repaint the entire truck…if I can clean the floor and then repaint it with tinted bed liner….it would be a simpler job for sure….

As mentioned…dumb question for all of my days with Landcruiser playing, I never had any need to dig into the speedo system. My belief is that the cable goes from the trans…to the back of the speedometer case. My current FJ45 has a new replacement speedometer case in the dash but I was to,d...

    Help Identifying this Engine Part

Hello all, this is mounted under the distributor of a 1979 2F. I’ve never seen one but likely somebody knows what it is? It has apparently been disconnected for some time but it has a set of hefty bolts attaching it to the block and some odd passage connection further up into the block
