    awesome I'm going to try that. after I changed the battery, a couple weeks later I had the lower hatch repainted and I'm sure the paint shop had the hatch open while the battery was disconnected. thanks for the tip!

    thanks to your links I was able to pull everything apart and fix it. the part that turns seems to have just popped off, Idk by who. I pushed it back in and all is well. thank god I was one of the lucky ones. thank you guys so much.

    just got back from another outing, problem still persist. ill look into the spring and ball. hopefully that will fix my problem. I also noticed that it pops out more frequently in 4hi then 4low.

    Both 4wdHI and 4wdLo. I can drive around (in dirt snow or muddy areas) in 4wd no problem. its only when I start climbing or pushing it hard is when it pops out.
