How to fix upper rear hatch not opening
Finally able to get to work on fixing the rear hatch. I ordered Back Door Switch Assy. PN 84840-28040 from my local dealership.

awesome I'm going to try that. after I changed the battery, a couple weeks later I had the lower hatch repainted and I'm sure the paint shop had the hatch open while the battery was disconnected. thanks for the tip!

On my 200 series the rear upper hatch doesn't unlock or lock. keeping it from being opened.

thanks to your links I was able to pull everything apart and fix it. the part that turns seems to have just popped off, Idk by who. I pushed it back in and all is well. thank god I was one of the lucky ones. thank you guys so much.

just got back from another outing, problem still persist.
ill look into the spring and ball. hopefully that will fix my problem.
I also noticed that it pops out more frequently in 4hi then 4low.
I was reading around hoping I can find a tread.
I will definitely look into the springs. I'm not to familiar with T/C's, are the springs and balls something I can pull out. buy and replace?

Both 4wdHI and 4wdLo. I can drive around (in dirt snow or muddy areas) in 4wd no problem. its only when I start climbing or pushing it hard is when it pops out.
