    The dreaded overpressure fuel tank!

Thanks for being so detailed. I noticed a few things on mine today that I worked through to try to adjust. First the vent lines coming from the four corners had some sag in them therefore they were collecting gas creating a P-trap effect. I corrected that today. So I’m gonna see how it does over...

    SOLD 11/1974 FJ55 Columbia, SC.

I appreciate your thoughts. I’m not a “flipper”. Honestly I didn’t intent to sell it, but circumstances change. Regardless of what I did or didn’t pay for something why should I not sell it for market value? If the price is fair and appropriate then what is the issue? You don’t know what...

    The dreaded overpressure fuel tank!

I’m gonna take a look at your post I appreciate you sending it to me and thank you for the advice. The dreaded overpressure fuel tank!

Is this a fuel pressure regulator? If so it runs from the fuel pump to the carburetor.

    The dreaded overpressure fuel tank!

Everyone above is correct. A previous owner did change out the fuel tank to a pre-74. Last week I removed the fuel tank, cleaned it, rust protected the exterior, and replaced all hoses. Each of the four corner vent hoses runs directly into the driver side evaporator. There is no return fuel...

    The dreaded overpressure fuel tank!

Yeah I’m just following the testing procedure outlined in some of the manuals to be able to see if you can move air through. I agree there’s something blocking it up, I recently removed the separator when I replaced all the hosing and of course it was fine at the time. What do you recommend?
