Finally got it back from powder coating, so I installed my @TRAIL TAILOR rear bumper. I feel really bad for anyone should they ever rear-end this truck. They will certainly have a bad day.
I have one off a 99 lx470, with the wood grain. Not sure if it’s the same for a LC? I will need to verify operation, but I do know the tab is broken that snaps it into place. PM me if interested
Dissent UHC front bumper. I’m so happy it went together for me with minimal struggles. At this time they don’t have the bull bar to fit the 470, I hope that it’s in the works because I think it would look even better with the bars. Would be nice for the extra deer protection too!
Finished replacing trim and badges on the rear hatch/tailgate after raptor liner. The badges had been previously painted over by a PO so I had to carefully wire brush them clean. I got tired of trying on the little “Lexus” and “LX470” badges so those are getting abandoned.
Also installed a car...
Looking for a couple small cosmetic items… courtesy light on the inside of the drivers door (need housing and lens) and the plastic covers for the front passenger seat mounts (rear two covers only). PM me if that is clear as mud.
I just had the same guy on eBay refurb mine. I will also vouch for him. Plugging the panel back in and testing all the buttons and finding they all worked like new was one of the most satisfying moments of baselining my 470. They were really really bad before.
Sprayed. Went pretty quick.
The best advice I could give is to wait about an hour or so after 2nd coat, then get your masking peeled off. The liner was dry enough to not mar or smear if you touched it, but soft enough to allow the tape to peel easily. That timing made some super nice lines...
Raptor Liner! My daughter just turned 14 and will be driving the 470 to school soon, so this was phase 1 of building this truck to withstand the abuse of a high school parking lot.
@CruiserTrash looking forward to your write up on the rear washer line replacement. I have this on my to-do list and it doesn’t look like a lot of fun. Very interested to see what tricks you came up with!
