    gas into the FJ

    FZJ80 Engine Options... 4.0 vs 4.5

hey thanks everybody... sounds like i will be looking for the 1FZ-FE. But if I stumble on the right 80, no rust, under 150k, right price...ect., ect. and it happens to be the earlier model with the 3FE... then all bets are off...lol

    FZJ80 Engine Options... 4.0 vs 4.5

I am new to the 80 series market, and after browsing MUD, have yet to find any opinions on the two different engines offered in the 80 series. Is the 4.0 liter more reliable? Do you notice a significant power increase with the newer 4.5 liter? Which has the best track record on the trail? I...

My dad's was in pretty good shape... the main thing is that there was no rust. But it took the better part of a year. All of the work we did was on the body and interior. The drivetrain remains as it was. The previous owner did a really clean swap. The turbo 350 really puts you back in the...

Hey whats up everybody... this is my first post and I just wanted to introduce myself and my rig. My dad and I have both recently been bitten by the cruiser bug. We both have 1974 FJ40's... the main difference is that we completely tore his apart and restored it, and mine was pretty much...
