My FJ40 is going up for sale but before posting it anywhere else I wanted to post it here.
My signature has most of the details. I'd like $9400 or I'd consider a trade for a side-by-side.
Thanks

I used the kit from Proffitts and had no problems. Also called Jermiah several times with stupid questions and he ALWAYS took time to answer them. I'd definitly would use them again!
I wouldn't say I'm an idiot but this is the fourth time I've had to hook the cable back up to the brake shoe lever. It there some trick that I'm missing or am I just nuts? Any help would be great!
Next time they quit working try wiggling your ignition key a little if they go back to working you have a bad contact in your switch. Otherwise it's got to be your engine fuse block connection as mentioned earlier or a ground problem.
I busted my rear pinion this weekend and need to start locating a third
member so I can hopefully make a run in two weeks. Lots of folks told me
where I could get one while we were on the trail but I didn't take notes
and CRS.
I've got a '72 with 4:11's. My drive shaft is also cork...
Jody I'm pretty sure if you go to the electronic flasher all your problems will end and it's a really simple fix.
Pin_Head I don't think running it in parallel will work if I remember from my old electronics class total resistance in a parallel circuit would be less than the largest...
I went to the parts store today and picked up a Buss electronic flasher model 232. I made two short adapter wires to go to the flashers two prongs and works great!
Senator Nickles? I'm very good friends with his brother Doug!
I contacted Borgusen directly and told them what I was doing (saginaw) and the sent me everything ( Adapter, 12" shaft, u-joint, slip shaft, and the last u-joint) for a little under $200.00. I asked him about a spud shaft for the $80 - $90 that everyone is using and he laughed. That's where...

I put LED's in my rear bumper and had the same problem Jody is having and changed to a cheap standard flasher. Everything works but now my blink rate is very irratic ( believe it or not, it also changes with the temperature). How do you wire up an electronic flasher?
Oops! Should have checked his site before replying.

I got a complete cut and turned housing along with a shackle reversal kit from Jeremiah with Proffitts Cruisers. He was excellent to deal with and didn't seem to be bothered at all by my huge number of calls to him for guidance.

That's where I got mine. According to Jeremiah it has just a little bit of lift but I also used his axle housing and did a spring over at the same time. However in the end my ass end is slightly higher so it's tough to say...
