I'm sorry I missed this trip. I went up to Haller Pass two weeks ago the snow was soft but not icy. We made it up one mile short of the top of the pass and snowshoed the rest of the way up to the top. I'll try my best to make the next one.

I went up the 70 road today. The road is clear to about a 1/2 mile passed the upper gravel pit past the snow park. Not going to get anywhere close to Government Meadows or Naches Pass until a lot more snow melts.
I was up the 73 road yesterday there was a lot of downfall and a couple big boulders in the road, but it looked like they were making some progress on getting it passable. There was too much snow to continue between 4000 and 4500 ft. I haven't been up the 70 road in a while, but 3 weeks ago...
I don't have any specific plans for tomorrow. I'll check in here around 10:00 and see what time you can make it. Meeting in the parking lot at 2:30 is fine with me if you can't do anything earlier?

The parts that I saw were as Brian described, however, with all the rain last week there were parts that were very slippery. (Tons of clay in the soil). I really want to go back and check out the rest. Anyone up for playing hooky on Friday?
