These are the spindles that I was sold with knuckle and hub housing. The new bearings fit on it fine. I'm pretty sure the knuckles are from a late-model fj40 as the studs are smaller than the fj60 studs that I initially had purchased when I thought these were from a 60.
The spindle on the left...
It was to my knowledge a later FJ40 for the knuckles + hub housing and the hubs I got are FJ60 I believe. I was told they were FJ60 knuckles but after buying the studs I figured it out.
Doing a conversion on a 69 FJ40. I have later FJ40 knuckles and components. I thought I had read up on everything and had all my parts in order. I however failed to read up on the birfield ends I guess. So now after getting the first side put together up to the hub I've realized I have course...
Looking to move a Toyota motor home from Durango to Santa Fe. It shouldn't weigh more than 6000lbs and can be put on a trailer or flat towed. However a dolly will not work as it will hit the read end. And your ramps should be long if its going on a trailer for the same reason. Need this done...
I can rev it up and it has no problem at high rpm's it just acts like this at idle. But I do have another fuel pump, not sure if its good but its pretty easy to switch out. But again when I pulled apart the carb just before this video the bowl was half full. I will check the filter also.
So I've been struggling with this for too long. All the shops in town don't want to touch it because its a rv or that its carbed. I rebuilt the carb and I felt like I did a fine job but now it runs terrible. The initial problem was hard starting, you had to feather the gas peddle to get it...
Ok so I attempted to rebuild my carb and felt pretty good about it till I started it up. It was sputtering and fighting to keep an idle. When I was taking it apart I took off one of the diaphragms on the top that leads to thing with the red wire coming out of it. I tore part of the diaphragm so...
The gasket for the intake manifold came with the carb kit. The air cleaner gasket was the one I could not find. Even ordered a gasket from ebay that said it was for my year turns out its for a Holley Rochester carb so now I own that...
Thank you KLF. Much appreciated.
I have a 84 22r that I am doing a carb rebuild on. I am looking for the gasket that mates the carb to the air cleaner. My carb looks like this. Thank you mudders!
Greetings mudders! Long time member and owner of several Fj40's just bought a 84 Toyota Tioga rv for family trips. Its in great condition for the year but does have some carb issues. You have to feather the gas peddle to get it going at start up and it seems to bog a bit also at first. Once...
Are you doing this for ease of use as far as the bluetooth? My route was to go cheap. I got a stereo from wal-mart online for $20. It has bluetooth, usb and micro sd. No cd. If my bluetooth is set to on, on my phone it auto connects and auto plays when I turn on my rig. My speakers are also...
