I have front 70 axle and rear 100. The easiest way to match them by width is to shorten the rear one. I know it might sound strange but here the prices of the axles are insane. Not to mention that finding a full floater is almost impossible.
That is the point, I need to shorten it. I got the j100 axle for a project which I didn’t complete. Now I need a diff for 30 spline shafts and most likely I will use j70 FF shafts it the spider gears 100/80 are interchangeable.
Good evening
I have a j100 rear axle which I want to convert to a full floater.
The axle shafts of j100 are 32 splines 34mm in diameter. I need to convert the diff somehow to fit 30spline shafts. Are the spider gears of j100 and j80 /or other 30splne diffs/ same size and shape besides the...
I think he means that the pinion still rotates the same direction and the contact with the ring teeth is still on the drive side. The vehicle moves backwards.
This is one of the reasons I posted here. My logic is that by turning the rear diff upside down the cardan shaft still rotates the pinion in the same direction and as follows and the ring gear contacts with the drive side, not coast one. But in another thread there was a statement at the...
My goal is to figure it out, how does the differential rotate in general according to the position and place it is mounted. Upside down position, front rear.
Hello everyone. New member. I know this is nor the right place for the question ,but still can't post in the other sections of the forum.
I red a lot of threads in this forum but still confused, so I decided to ask:
Just theorically, because I can't logically get to the answers. What if you...
