Driver Side Running Board Light Low Voltage

Yes, the stock bulb is halogen. I swapped out the dead on arrival halogens for LEDs soon after we bought the rig. Always had problems with the LEDs, as they would flicker. Then the driver side went out completely. I bought some new LEDs off amazon that had good reviews for being able to dim...

Driver Side Running Board Light Low Voltage

Driver side running board light has been out for a while. Decided to pop a new bulb in there and noticed the new led fainting comes on, flickers and then shuts off. Tried with a halogen and the bulb gets a little warm. Tried passenger side with both bulbs and no issues. Multi meter showed that...

Coolant Leak / NLA / Part Numbers Needed

Hey guys, got some coolant leaks on the pipe from the thermostat all the way back to the firewall. PAIR system has been removed on my '94, so I'm looking to move to the 1 piece solid pipe from the 95+ which I know is now NLA. I know there are a couple other items that are probably NLA so it will...

Towing with a 200-series Toyota Land Cruiser

@FrazzledHunter That part is a bit different with the Andersen. It's best to detach and attach at the same angle if possible. It's not super horrible if you don't. With the AHC, pop it into high mode and jack up the back even more until there is enough slack in the chains to get them...

Towing with a 200-series Toyota Land Cruiser

Using an Andersen here. Nothing but praise for it. Our family moved last year from Oregon to Arizona and I pulled a 24 foot car hauler trailer down there twice(1300 miles one way, 5200 miles total). First time, with my '90 300zx TT tucked inside with a bunch of other household items. I...

    Raybestos brake pistons questions

I've replaced the pistons with aftermarket in plenty of calipers on Nissan and Toyota rigs. Never had any issue. I have only used replacement seals from the same company though. I say, rock it.

AC Compressor Replacement - Climate Control System Error

Got the LX blowing cold again after sticking in a new compressor and condenser. I detailed some notes on the process below. No more weird sound coming from the compressor when the clutch is engaged anymore. https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/a-c-condenser-replacement.1316283/#post-15043035

    A/C Condenser Replacement

Finally got around to getting this job done. Took my time on it since it's blistering hot down here in AZ. Currently on track to beat a record of 18 consecutive days above 110. I would usually go out to work in the garage in the mornings and call it quits when the garage temps reached over 100...

    A/C Condenser Replacement

@bloc Awesome, thanks! I'll give that a go.

    A/C Condenser Replacement

AC took a dump about a week ago after a failed compressor clutch rebuild. Compressor is eating clutches so I ordered a new Denso compressor and condenser(which includes the drier). Compressor seems pretty straight forward but haven't been able to find any threads detailing a condenser...

AC Compressor Replacement - Climate Control System Error

UPDATE: Well, along with the aforementioned pulley swap, I had been having a Jetson's/Chitty Chitty Bang Bang sound that would come and go with the compressor cycling. It never really went away after I swapped on the new clutch. I figured the compressor would probably fail at some point but...

    Air conditioning noise

Forgot to update. I added about 3/4th of a 12oz r134a can to bring up the low and high side pressures. Pressures are pretty spot on now. Strange though, the Jetsons noise is back. Kind of wondering if there's an impending compressor failure coming.

    2013 LX Battery/Alternator

Pretty sure I didn't need to.

'02 LX Tow Receiver and 7 Way Install

It's been a while and have since sold the rig, but yeah pretty sure I went through the firewall. Then ran it down below the master cylinder until I could snake it into the frame rail all the way to the back of the rig.

    2013 LX Battery/Alternator

Nope. There was enough room without the fan, shroud and hoses in the way to pull up and out.

    2013 LX Battery/Alternator

I wasn't able to pull mine through the passenger wheel well. Just wasn't enough room. I've got some more notes on my post regarding my alternator replacement. https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/alternator-replacement-battery-dash-light-fix.1286717/

Normal Operating Temperature? (LC200 after radiator replace)

Mine hovers right around 200F. Here's a shot of me pulling a 10k lb trailer, going up a pass in 2nd gear in roughly 100F ambient temps.

    Air conditioning noise

Just checked pressures on the LX. About 90F out and the r134a chart says I should be seeing around 45 psi on the low side and 250 on the high. I'll try adding some refrigerant to get pressures back into spec. Oddly enough, during the 10-15 minutes I was out there blasting the AC to check...

    Air conditioning noise

In my case, I replaced the compressor clutch on the vehicle so the system was never opened up.

(Future) Product Review and Install Assistance - High Output Alternator

Interesting, I always wondered if anyone else has that same issue. To be fair to the company, they probably don't sell a lot for the 80 series and I never gave them any feedback. Glad you got yours in.
