I’ve got a brand new Weber 32/36 that came from JT Outfitters. It came with a truck I bought and I only used it to fire the engine and drive around the block until I rebuilt the stock carb. Has less than 5 miles on it.
$300 shipped.
I posted in the wanted section, but just in case not everyone checks over there I thought I’d post here too.
I’m rebuilding the stock carb off my recently acquired 1974 fj55, to replace the 32/36 Weber it came with. Looks like moisture got the best of the carb and after several days of soaking...
Rebuilding the factory 74’ carb off my recently acquired fj55 to replace the 32/36 weber that came with it. Once I tore into it appears moisture got the best of the inside. I need the shaft and (stripped hole) and brass blade. Thanks!
Been eyeballing this fj55 for the last seven years, and was finally able to purchase it today. Rust in typical areas and has a couple poor repaints, but overall good condition for what it is. Has a later 1.5/2f, 3speed. Came with a brand new Weber, but I’ve got a good carb to send off for a...
Alright guys, here’s what I’ve got:
Working on a 72’ fj40 for a buddy; completely stock. Had the carb rebuilt by a reputable builder and it was ported for vacuum advance. Added a brand new Toyota vacuum advance distributor and Pertronix ignition.
Installed the carb and distributor, set timing...
Working on a 1972 FJ40 for a friend and just installed a new vac advance distributor with Pertronix. Battery is right at 14ish volts, but I’m only getting 3ish volts at the coil (bypassed the ballast resistor).
Obviously I’m losing power from the ignition switch to the coil, but is there...
Getting ready to install a 78’ distributor in my 74’ cruiser to upgrade to vac advance. I purchased a coil/igniter off an FJ60, since I didn’t have the 78 parts.
The 40 was re-wired with a painless harness before I bought it. Can anyone point me to a diagram to wire the igniter/coil properly...
Got a buddy working on his 82’ fj40 and is in need of the plug that goes here on the back of the instrument cluster. Any ideas where he can get one? Thanks!
I’ve got a brand new Advance Adapter 4L60E to 19 spline split case adapter for sale. Going a different direction and no longer need it.
AA part# 50-0408A priced at $831.06 on their site.
Looking to get $800 shipped in the lower 48, but open to offers.
Thanks
Getting ready to SOA my boys’ fj40 and was wondering what’s the common shock length. I have Ford shock towers for the front. Is it 12” front and 10” rear?
Thanks!
Purchased this adapter from member Shawn Russell a few years back when he had them produced. Plans changed and I never used the adapter. I paid $250 shipped at the time;asking $150 plus shipping.
I recently picked up a 78’ vac advance/retard distributor and a coil/igniter from a mid eighties fj60 that I want to use to replace the vac retard setup in my 74’ fj40. The truck was rewired with a painless kit by the previous owner. Can anyone point me in the right direction to correctly wire...
I searched and searched here in the states, then finally reached out to Nice Products in Australia to try and purchase these 64mm long stock replacement studs for the front axles.
After several weeks of no response, I connected with someone from the area who helped with the transaction. Cost...
This bracket came with the 40. Obviously bolts to the thermostat housing and appears to sit on the drivers side of the engine. Any ideas what it was for? York compressor, power steering pump?
Thanks
I have all of these distributors on my possession. I’m replacing the vac retard that is currently in the 40. I have a brand new Pertronix with coil in the vac retard, plus the 78’ dist and fj60 coil/ignitor to go with it. Which is best? I’m assuming the 78? My only hesitation is wiring it up...
