I have KO2s but I have BFG Trail-Terrains on a different vehicle and I can't say enough positive things about the Trail-Terrains for whatever that's worth... Smoother and quieter with a mild KO2 look. Not sure about the size you're looking for.
You might be at the step where you go ahead and take it to a shop. A reputable shop will still diagnose it themselves but you at least now have a sense of what might be wrong. Following along to see what the solution is...
My $.02 hit it with whatever polish, solution, etc. when you pull the trim. You will have a little more room to do your polishing (and it wont get on the new trim)...
Maybe I'll pull it down and check for holes but I got an HDMI to RCA adapter and a mini Roku works on it with my WiFi hotspot which I never use but it was kinda cool trying it out.
I have the KO2s like many others but for what you're doing I would suggest looking at the BFG Trail-Terrains. They look like a mild K02. I just got them on a different vehicle and they drive very very nice. Can't go wrong with Michelin's either...
Not a lot of people post that their system is working fine. I try to chime in only in case someone is on the fence about it as I once was. I thought if something fails that's when I'll spend on a lift (thanks to Range Rover P38's air suspension that always leaked). Then I learned about it, cross...
It's interesting that the better aftermarket shocks today include a fluid reservoir (and if it's really nice you get to rebuild it every couple years), something the AHC system comes with circa 1998. The fact that you can find a neglected system that still holds fluid today is pretty remarkable...
May seem like a silly thing to look for but make sure your sway bar is still installed and then go about replacing bushings that may help with some roll. It doesn't look lifted based on the photos...
I turned mine off in techstream and I'm in mall crawler spec. Did it when I was in there tuning the AHC. Do the "how to techstream" search and check there first. I had to tinker with it on an old laptop but it's worth having in your toolkit. While you're in there, dialing in your AHC is worth it...
Glad the shop pointed out the error and admitted to it. Kudos. Garage Keepers insurance does handle claims for resulting damage. Insurance wouldn't cover the cost of re-doing the timing belt but there would be liability coverage available for resulting damage ie the ruined engine. You also have...
I suspect it's the pads as you alluded to. A resurface and OEM pads should be good. Not to be disparaging but some people are just hard on brakes. My service history says rotors were replaced and/or resurfaced three times!! from 110k to 150k - which I thought was insane. This is probably asinine...
They aren’t any cheaper without the airbag. Anything under $300-400 they need recovering anyway. Who knows what that runs if you don’t do it yourself. I imagine at least $200 to recover. Everything I’ve ordered from over there has been a good experience so far… they seem to have all the parts.
