This beauty has been sold and found a good home. Thank you to all who responded. I was very sad to see it go, but the "adoptive" parent said he loves it, so I know it will at least be taken care of finally get out to play instead of just sitting in a garage.
It is still available. The damage never met the frame. It is that side vent area, the fender and the hood. I banged it out and it's just about straightened out. I would get another side vent if I wanted it to be near perfect. I think the hood and fender could be done right with a...
Nothing? I got an email for more pictures. I have the flickr account that has them all up close and personal. :)

Take a look at my album. I suck at trying to create an ad. I thought I put one up last night but do not see it here this morning.
New: Headers, manifold, 4 core radiator, back disc brakes, 22 gal gas tank to the back under skid...
Rebuilt F2 engine with about 20K miles on it. Approx 90% stock. No frame rust and some surface in 2 areas: 1 where it was hit? (past owner) and the 2 at the back bottom of ambulance doors (needs new insulation, which I have but haven't put on).
FJwagon was right
My electrician checked it out for a day and a half.....couldn't find anything that had burnt. THe battery terminal to ground was so loose and wired wierd, that he changed that out and took for a ride. It fired right up and drove like a champ everywhere. On the freeway, thru...
Dean Electric is my #1 guy
Dean, has done all my electrical work for my Silverado and backs all his work. He is the guy standing by to help me on Monday'ish....and he is the one who built my alternator and my foreman here at work (who has worked extensively with Dean and built many vehicles...
Too much power needed to go back to stock
I put the larger alternator in there for the future projects. Currently, I have a WARN 9000 winch on it right now and good stereo system. In the future, I am looking at fog lights, and I use lots of 9V stuff like plugging in the GPS and charging cell...
Thank you for all your help
I will certainly look into the larger wires, coming from both the starter and the 1-wire alternator. The smoke appeared to come from the back of the stereo system, but that doesn't make much sense. I have a tentative appt with an automotive electrician on Monday if...
Hello,
As previously posted, I never claimed to be a mechanic and though I dove into my lil project with zest and hopes, they have been dashed again. I am almost to the point of wondering why I ever touched the dang thing for a leak.
As those that read the progress, all the gaskets and...
I do not know, how does one find out? Is there an inner diameter size? What do I look for to know this. I am sorry, but this is my first trip as a "mechanic" I am better with a backpack and hiking boots. But I am trying to learn as fast as I can...trial by fire, I suppose. Is this going to...
mine just doesn't work!
We have replaced everything but the casing and the brake still doesn't work. It's as if no matter how we turn the screw in the back for the adjustment, nothing works. Any tips besides a block of wood on a rope to toss under the tires?
cup holders
I like my cup holders upfront where I can see them. At least upfront, they will not spill into my heater or the dog(s) and gear will not shift/step on whatever I have in them. :whoops:
Can't argue, what I do not know. It came from SOR. Looks like other pics I've seen on this site. Bought 2 more seals, from 2 different places, same price as SOR, but no shipping costs involved. I'll see tonight what they look like. Bought a second one as a back up, in case it doesn't go in...
All I need is the dang wires!
I have searched for JUST the wires from the sending units to the gauges. That is what is missing for my 78 oil gauge and temp. I can find the sender units and the gauges, but I need the actual connections from one to the other. Can anyone help me with where to...
The bright side is that we were not in the middle of Hollister which is about 1 1/2 hours away and then to get it off the trail ...... etc etc etc ....
It was just a lesson that the dang $20 part, that when it went in, we had our doubts that it was a good insert, and we second guessed, the...
