    Builds Pappy's 3RZ-FE Transplant Adventure

Smart a$$. The FJ40 is still in the garage. The plan is still to sell her. Grant helped me wake up to a Plan B option. I'm actually a bit giddy about the idea.

    Builds Pappy's 3RZ-FE Transplant Adventure

OK, I might have a plan. Grant knows somebody. That somebody has done 3.0 -> 3.4 transplants. Grant has confidence this fella can do my 2.7 engine. He is coming by Monday to chat and look at the project.

What did you work on tonight?

I was in Death Valley a few weeks ago with the sisters. I stopped along the road to the Racetrack to take a leak, stepped in front of the truck, and found the truck was pissing harder than I was. A stop in Furnace Creek for stop leak got me home. It only seemed to puke hard when I was off...

    Builds 1982 Build Thread

As I recall Rancho 5000 shocks are not a gas shock. Which means they would not be contributing to any lift. You would also bre able to compress them. My memory could be off on the Rancho.

What did you work on tonight?

Thanks for the parts offer. ABQ Guns had the dent pin I launched. I bought a couple extra ... while I was there. Form 1's and Form 4's are a rabbit hole. In addition to the Form 1, I have a Form 4 for a 30cal going on too (Christmas purchase that was backordered, and just came back...

What did you work on tonight?

Half way on the AR-9mm. Form 1 in process (8.5" SBR). Upper and handguard are back ordered. I have tools that make that pin easier, but not fool proof. It still takes some finesse.

What did you work on tonight?

I bet I know what those small parts were in the lower receiver. Just went through that two days ago on a new build. Nice job. Was he able to test fire the rifle?

Geez, are we going to start reminiscing about the good ol' days and telling Dan stories?

We called you the Parts Shaman for a reason, Dan.

American Toyota discontinued the IH8MUD discount but giving everyone a different discount !

Well, welcome back Jeff. Glad you are still around, back in the game, and still driving the 40. As far as AmToy ... I've stopped walking in to buy parts. All of my orders are online and I just pay the $5, but I make sure I have enough on the order to justify the extra charge. I do compare at...

    New guy to NM

Ummm, what is wrong with the 909? I used to live in the 909, only it was the 714 back then.

    New guy to NM

Don't worry. I've had 213, 714, 805, and 619 area codes in my previous lives.

They are torx on the top end. Get a set of E-sockets at Harbor Freight and install. Easy.

    Being a pirate is overrated

No joke? Sounds like things have not improved. Twenty-five years ago there was only one neurosurgeon in NM. When Nylia had her second surgery I made it clear to the insurance company that the clown that paralyzed her would not be touching her. We went to MD Anderson.

What did you work on tonight?

Back to our regular Toyota channel. My radiator decided to start puking in Death Valley last weekend. It was weird. On the washboard it puked a lot. On pavement hardly any at all. A stop in Furnace Creek for some stop-leak got me home. I decided "while I was in there" to also replace the...
