Apologies I've never posted anywhere but here, never even looked for a classifieds. Is there a way a moderator can move it?

1992 Toyota Landcruiser (White) For Sale

Fantastic truck but she needs a little loving. The engine has 255,000k on it but it was completely rebuilt at 228,091k so it's only sporting 27,000k since the rebuild. Like I said, she needs a little loving though. It started to knock, sounded like a spun rod bearing, but...

Conflicting Parts from Dealer / China?

Thanks for clearing that up Beno. That will come in handy in the future :)

Conflicting Parts from Dealer / China?

Well I'll be John Ass Brown. Thank you so much. I'm still confused by this - I was trying to test my fuel pressure this winter and I couldn't because it wanted me to plug the gauge into the Cold Start Injector Switch, which in my manual and the dealer's diagram was at the bottom of the engine...

Conflicting Parts from Dealer / China?

Thread Reducer That crossed my mind but it's got to be water / pressure tight and that seems suspect. I just want to know what the deal is for future issues. Why is it showing up, the same part number, as 2 different parts depending on where the site is located (China, US, UK, etc).

Conflicting Parts from Dealer / China?

Threads I wish. The threads appear to be the same - I assume they are very similar or the same on all the sensors - but the diameter is WAY different. The new one is so skinny it won't even touch the sides of the hole it screws into.

Conflicting Parts from Dealer / China?

Diagram - Thanks firetruck. That's the same diagram they have at the dealer and that's causing me the confusion. It looks like it should be part 89422 according to the diagram, that's where it's actually located. However, that sensor came in too small (see above). The one I took out has the...

Conflicting Parts from Dealer / China?

Pic Added Just wanted to show you real quick the difference in size and the actual part. At the bottom is the sensor that was installed and needs replaced. The sensor on the top is the incorrect replacement NAPA sent as the water temp sensor. The one from the dealer was the same - too small.

Conflicting Parts from Dealer / China?

I have a question that I'm already starting to figure out (I think) but wanted to see if anyone could clarify this for me. So here's the problem, my water temp sensor (located on the driver's side of the thermostat housing) needs replaced. The plastic covering that clips the sensor in is...

At the risk of sounding insane, where is this relay located?

'92 Won't Start: Needs 30 minutes between running

One thing that's bugging me and was hoping you guys might know. I have, in the past, been able to take my MAF apart, pull the sensor and clean it with an electric connector cleaner and had AWESOME results. Part of the reason I pulled mine last night was to clean it but as I started to pull the...

'92 Won't Start: Needs 30 minutes between running

Last night I removed the MAF and checked it with a volt meter per the instructions in my Haynes manual. 2 of the 3 reading were incorrect and after reinstalling the MAF, it stalls on acceleration. It cuts on and runs fine, but once you give it gas it stalls. I reset the codes, ran it for about...

'92 Won't Start: Needs 30 minutes between running

Thanks guys. I checked the plugs like you suggested Mark and they were dry as a bone and a white/ashy color suggesting it was hot/lean. Let me back up a few years. I had my cats replaced with aftermarket OEM cats because the factory cats were way more expensive than I could afford. When I did...

'92 Won't Start: Needs 30 minutes between running

Ah!!! I guess when I was searching for solutions through the forums I never backed out to the right section - sorry for the confusion. (Any mods out there? Can you move this to the 80's series please? Sorry for the mix up) As for the fuel pressure - I've checked it with a fuel pressure gauge...

'92 Won't Start: Needs 30 minutes between running

Mark, It's an fj80 - stock everything. I guess my wording wasn't very articulate so let me try and reword this :) My fuel pressure checks out fine and I'm getting spark - not only on first start, but when this happens as well. My first thought was - gott'a be an EFI sensor or something...

'92 Won't Start: Needs 30 minutes between running

Hey guys, I think the title sums it up fairly well. My Cruiser runs like a top on the first ignition. Runs fine on short and long trips, but once I cut it off, it won't start again for 30-45 minutes. It turns over but I never get ignition. Seems like a sensor, if it was fuel pressure or...

    AC Troubleshooting

I recently replaced my compressor, recharged the system and had AC for the first time in 7 years. It held the charge and worked fine for about 5 months and one day I cut it on and it blew warm air. It ran for a few minutes at normal running temperature, etc. And still warm air. I figured...

    Parts & Accessories for '92 FJ80?

I recently (last night) got done rebuilding my engine and getting back in, timed and valves adjusted. Now that I have spent some time on the insides I want to work on the exterior. I am having a lot of trouble though finding parts for it. A simple pair of NERF bars are practically impossible...
