Finally put on some MT’s. Unfortunately I didn’t see that they were cupped very badly. Still have 13/32” tread in the high spots. Going to see if I can continue to drive them and smooth a bit.
OEM fluid is $4.96 a quart, you can’t go wrong. You will spend $8/qt for the Dex stuff, which I don’t run in my Toyota’s. It’s probably more important to use an ATF rather than power steering fluid

I have always gotten lucky when changing steering rod ends on my other vehicles. This method could save some money if done correctly.
