Just put it up for sale- 21,000. If someone from here is interested I'm more inclined to consider offers since I know it'll get a good home. Unfortunately my wife and I never find the time to go off the beaten path these days. Looking to downsize and a bit.
If you're interested I have pictures...
finally selling my fj60, the ksl ad for it is available here -----> http://www.ksl.com/index.php?nid=218&ad=33359749&cat=656&s_cid=E0003
needs engine work, was blowing smoke when I parked it after losing coolant/overheating. but it was a great trail queen beforehand. just don't have the...
:o I'm trying to install an Ebrake cable I picked up from a junkyard and think I might be missing a bracket or something because it just doesn't seem quite right. And unfortunately I'm on my phone so searching has been a pain. Anyone trolling right now that could run out and take a picture of...
definitely go over the tune up items, I was ashamed when I finally got around to cap/rotors and noticed how corroded the contacts were.
timing can make a big difference, when I bought my cruiser it'd diesel for up to a minute after shutting it off. after adjusting the timing it runs...
mean green alternator was the big purchase I made right when I got my cruiser. the stock one was burnt up and I wanted something with heft to it. it was expensive but it ran my two amps and the rest of my stereo equipment really well. I see it as an investment if I want to have a lot of fun...
go offroad a lot, have fun, beat up your truck. I never even locked my 60 around town (I did, however, live in Logan, UT. pretty low crime rate). if it looks like there probably isn't anything worthwhile in it, thieves don't tend to take the risk of finding out.
I do like the fuse pulling idea...
 entertain me, I need more!
 to the guys wasting their evening away on uploading pictures though. you're helping everyone at home get through this weekend.
sorry to see you guys are gettin snowed on too. I'm just up in salt lake and it's comin down pretty good here.
More Pictures! More Videos!!!!!! if I'm going to live vicariously through you guys down there posting on this thread I need more visual stimuli.
I think i'll have to come to this. unfortunately I'll be blaspheming with the jeep when I get there. my fj60 is under construction. since it's paired with the lucas oil off-road series I assume I have to buy tickets to that and cruiserfest is included?
it's all about NOS stickers and huge spoilers. when it comes to spoilers I think it's every inch=5-10 horsepower. something like that anyway.
:D I'm going to need to figure this out sometime myself. old 3.7s in the diffs and rubber 35s don't make for the best get up and go. especially with a...
:frown: I don't like it... :crybaby: there isn't a drooling smiley to go along with this thread. I'm drooling like homer simpson thinking of donuts. beautiful rig, can't wait to see the rest of your build when you post it.
I got pulled over once and was given two different tickets in my 60. but they were for no insurance(I didn't have my new card yet) and having an Illinois driver's license(I had lived in Utah for over 90 days, so I turned into an illegal immigrant or something by still using my Illinois license)...
PB Blaster! or some sort of penetrating oil. it comes in handy loosening up those old bolts. spray it on all the bolts you plan to remove and let it soak in, then spray it again a little before you take it apart.
it really is too bad it would be super impractical to polish it to a mirror finish. of course that would be the equivalent of a child in your dash with a spotlight. not the best idea.
god i wish my 60 was in that kind of condition. mine's broken down and I ended up putting it in storage until I have the money to fix her, thought about parting her out but just couldn't do it.
all I can say is if you do sell it and the person isn't already on mud, be sure to send em our way.
if you build it yourself you know what you do and don't quite trust. if you get one already built, it makes it hard to trust any of it until you've had it long enough and put it through its paces.
