Hey guys I have an rj70 with a 22r in it I'm just wondering how much longer it will last with 460xxxkm on it. My questions are who has done either of these conversions ? I would like the 1kz over the 3L but I need info on what is needed to do the conversion.
hey mate did you end up soing the conversion ? i have a rj70 and looking at conversions if the 22r blows up. I was thinking the 1kz would be a great swap.
Yep so I had it opened up and seen them clicking over with the key going to on and start position and I got the motor to move by shorting it to the 12V terminal on the battery.
I’m thinking it’s an earth issue maybe my oil pressure switch is buggered causing no ground
Yep sorry if that didn’t make sense before but edic is grounded I got the motor to spin by shorting the circuit to prove it works and the relay to works with how it’s wired up. So the issues is now the ground from the relay to the edic circuit when it crosses over limits I think
Yep going to add an extra ground from the motor Mount to the Meg terminal on the battery and the relay Mount to the keg terminal on the battery aswell.

Yeah you would think it would Mount off the manifold but it is way off the rod would have to go up by 50mm to make it to the pump or the two bolt holes on the block but I cant get it past the starter motor
I have acquired an EDIC for my 1978 h as it didn't come with one and i cant seem to figure out how it mount to the engine block ? I have tried every way it should go but it cant fit between the starter and the manifold and the the other way it hits on the start terminal. Can someone please send...
got my engine turning over no fire though, blew some smoke but thats it. just wondering if i have my glow wired up correctly aswell so are you able to post a photo of your wiring to the starter ?
So the cylinder looking thing with the rod is called an over injection magnet, that connects to the engine side of the pump and the that adjustable rod connects to the venturi im fairly sure. have you had a look at mega zip ?
Hey bob yeah I have some pictures but I don’t pre removal of the pump and engine unfortunately. I’m going to do abit of work today on it and see what happens. Below is the old pump your style, the current one is in the engine I havnt had time yet to get it running.
Nothing happened to the pump, the engine was buggered cracked head and gudgeon pin had gouged the bore out on cylinder 3, I purchased a second hand 78 h engine to swap over and it turns out it isn’t as easy as straight swap due to the pumps are different.
