Put in a new Denso coil and spark plug at #4. No change unfortunately. Moving the trans to 4 certainly works. Next step is to use the anti-shudder mentioned above.
So they billed you for 12 qts or more Toyota WS ATF with Toyota P/N.
I purposely gave the service manager the service bulletin and he sourced it for the mechanic as well hoping that they would take the temperture into account. You may be right about all above and it is pretty frustrating. Was...
Figured I should give an update. I went to a Lexus dealer and had the transmission inspected. They performed a full flush and refill. Sadly the shutter still exists.
2006 LX470 with 160k miles.
Wanted to see what you all would do in my situation.
In early 2021 I had my transmission rebuilt as it was progressively getting worse at slipping and bucking. Took it to a local AAMCO with really good online reviews. Full transmission rebuild. A couple of months...
Just had to do this to mine. Guess what fell down when I dropped down the tire and assembly. The darn key! It must have either been in one of the the wheel spokes or stuck between the tire and frame somehow. So the employee at Discount Tire DID know they lost the key in the wheel and still...
Update, took it to the transmission shop as the first step since it is still under warranty and was the last thing worked on. They thought it may be the torque converter based on my description. They checked it over and discovered while driving and having the computer plugged in a cylinder 4...
Hey all. Randomly my 2006 LX feels like it is driving over rumble strips while driving ~30-40mph under light load. If I give it gas or let go of gas it immediately goes away. It can repeat this 2-3 times and then goes away until the next drive. Any guesses before I take it to the mechanic...
I took the LX to a reputable transmission shop. They said my mechanic had put the correct amount of fluid in the transmission. Disks have significant wear and full re-man is recommended. I am disappointed it needs to be done at 150K.
No, I have not taken it to a specific transmission shop, only my mechanic that changed the trans filter and fluid (not a flush). Zero codes since the air pumps were fixed.
Have had zero issues with the transmission (now at 150k) until about two months ago. Just a little bit of hesitation (sort of felt like limp mode) between third and fourth I believe. Turn it off and on again and it drove perfectly. Only did it a few times. Then a month later I get a check engine...
To piggyback on this thread, My '06 (150k miles) has been sitting a lot and often outside for the last year. About a month ago I noticed a very slight thump upshifting from 3rd to 4th. Only did it a few other times in the last month. Then last week check engine light came on and it drove as...
Well your ad made it to Jalopnik:

Bringing up this old thread for some advice. I bought a Pyle PLPW6D 6" and wired it up. My '06 only had two wires, black and red so I hooked up only two of the four speakers inputs. Sounds OK, but as soon as I turn up the volume the stereo quits for about a second. Where did I screw up?
