What i did is take some rubber from like the universal fender flares and just cut it to size. Worked well enough for me, and was better than whatever rubber was left.

Those doors will definitely fit on the 40, I have doors like that on my 68’ that were off a different 40 at some point. Also the top looks to be the same as the one on my 68’ aswell. The only thing is as previously mentioned was the mounting posts from the top are missing.

Gave it a good pressure washing and . Decided to pamper the 40 and didn’t end up washing the truck that hasn't gotten washed in over a year…

In my onion if you had to keep the flares or change to diamond plate, I would keep the flares. And keep them painted. To me, painted is better than black, the black makes it look obvious that its not supposed to be there. Again just my onion.
I think my 40 has a “safari” one sold by sor, the problem is that I live in florida. So the safari is cool because its got the mesh opening like a sunroof and when you dont want it open, it velcros back closed.

Not very exciting, fiberglass top is in rough condition, so the bikini top is basically my replacement until i fix up the fiberglass. Keep the sides on to save space along with the rear glass.
