@AtinLango, did you not read what @suprarx7nut wrote? You most likely have a pressure issue. Did you remove the jerry cans and try to raise it to H? If not, give it a shot and if it raises up, you have your answer. Turn the torsion bars as previously mentioned until you can raise the vehicle...
I need a little help to confirm what I am seeing. On Partsouq, I get the below for my 2006 LX w/VGRS. This dates don't line up correctly on the right as you can see, and yes I entered all the info about the vehicle accurately. I have seen on here in multiple threads that this IS indeed the...
So, it seems it's possible to obtain a 101 with the 1HDFTE engine and a manual transmission. Intruiging! I wonder if the manual is based on the H55F like in my 70series? I believe Toyota stopped making those in the early 90's. Nevertheless, this could be the next wave once importing...
I would be curious what people are paying for these in Japan with that engine and then the cost of shipping it over to the USA. There is one for sale here on MUD, asking 25k. Not sure what kind of deal that is considering the scarcity here in the US with the 25-year rule. Does anybody know if...

The 2UZ is an interference engine, if it was me, I would do a thorough inspection before buying any parts to replace the above-stated items others have pointed out. I didn't see anybody mention this, nor if I missed it, you have not stated it in your post.
That does not sound good. If you have a long screwdriver (engine stethoscope) you can try to listen to where the sound is coming from at different spots. Just try to shy away from moving parts ;). This should give you a better idea on the location and then go from there. To me though, it does...
Okay, no responses from the last one. There is a car show in The Dalles starting this Friday the 11th and going thru the weekend. If anybody is interested I plan to attend some of the events. See the below link to the event and let me know if anybody plans to attend and maybe we can meet up...
