    Visiting Colorado in my GX460

There are also numerous trails west of Boulder around the Nederland area. The family and I camped around Gross Reservoir last weekend, and it's easy enough you should have no trouble. The Colorado gov maintains a trail explorer website that's a good tool for finding trails: Map -...

Finally found the time last week (an hour here, an hour there) to install the RCI sliders: Also installed some rear recovery points while I was down there: Slider install wasn't as bad as I'd been led to believe. Having a rolling motorcycle lift made positioning easy, and to get behind the...

Sadly between the wife and the toddler I can't get much done on the weekends; I'll have to take a day off work to do the install while they're both out of the house. Probably for the best since the garage floor is just above freezing and has lots of melted snow all over. It was a lot of fun...

Took an hour off work this morning to drive up to RCI and pick up some goodies I purchased back on Black Friday: Will wait for the weather to warm up and then take a day off to install.

Visited Crested Butte with the family to see the aspens and do some hiking this weekend. Had fun driving Cottonwood, Kebler and Ohio passes.

That's a lot of miles for a wheel that's got no tire! 😉

Road tripped to Crested Butte last week, and spent a day driving and hiking around Paradise Divide:

Idiot YouTuber on costs of high mileage GX ownership

There are bluetooth enabled OBD II readers that will allow you to read/clear codes using a cellphone. I've got this one: and have used it on a couple Toyotas we've owned in conjunction with the Android Torque app for reading and clearing codes. Haven't had a need to used it on the GX yet...

It's actually KiCad/Pcbnew's (schematic capture/board layout software) 3D viewer. Lots of good info from Acrad; I may end up trying the RAHC switch for a winch and the AVS switch for lighting. Either of those projects are a ways off yet, though.

Planning a trip to Crested Butte and Mesa Verde for the July 4th week, hoping to drive Schofield Pass to Paradise Basin and possibly some other trails while we're down there. As part of getting ready I spent an hour doing the uni mod and installing MTS and Crawl Control. I don't have AVS/RAHC...

460-Add Crawl Control (CC) and Multi Terrain Select (MTS) to 2010-2019 models/all trims

Anyone know the difference between 84970-60070 and 84970-60080? The former says "with precrash system" and is ~$12 cheaper, while the later is "without precrash system". Would it be an issue to install the '70 part in a vehicle without precrash? I wasn't able to find any mention of the '80...

Thanks, I'll be sure to keep that in mind when I'm getting ready for the lift/front bumper. Did you mount everything yourself, or are there any good local shops you'd recommend? Would definitely be interested in checking out some trails with others! Lots of good places nearby on my todo list...

I put a set on my GX a couple weeks ago and haven't had any issues (see here) . Lugs and TPMS swapped over from the factory 18" wheels just fine.

Found a good deal on 17" TRD Pros in Matte Grey, so I picked up 5 and put some 265/70/R17 Nitto Terra Grappler G2s on them: I don't have a problem with the chrome on the GX, but I'll probably look for some vinyl wrap to match the wheels and wrap the chrome bits as I find free time here and there.

Any Interest in a Cargo Mat for 3rd Row Seating?

If it operates similarly to the 4Runner mats you picture and doesn't cost more than the canvasback count me in for a three zone in black.

Do you get any rubbing with the Offroads? The price in this area is definitely attractive, but I'm hoping a bit less offset will allow me to avoid any rubbing and delay the need for a lift. Has anyone seen corrosion under the rear window? I've got some on the hinge pins for the window and...

Hi all, After frightening the wife by taking her old Rav4 several places where it maybe shouldn't have gone (Fourth of July Trailhead, Greys and Torreys Peak, Loch Lomond in the snow) I was given the go-ahead to get something more capable/comfortable/reliable. I've ended up with a lightly used...
