    Hood compatibility

    Good morning all! Anyone know if a 1969/03 - 1980/07 hood for an FJ will fit on a 1981/10-1984/09 and if so, what are the differences? I have the ability to get one, but per the manuals the end of of the sub assembly part #s are different. Ex - 53301-90311(1980) versus 53301-90808 (1981). Stew

    Yea, he isn't wrong. The 25yr rule prevents it from being modded to conform with the current EPA standards, and god forbid you try to register it in Cali. It does have electronic locking hubs also.
