Love the set-up! I am getting ready to fit a set of Method 314's to my FJ60 in the next few weeks. Do you have any images of how you fit the center caps? I have a set that I'd love to use on mine. Also you mentioned opening the bore to 106 did that work? I have read that the hub bore needs...
I'd love to see a profile pic of yours taken from the front looking back of the bracket and bolt, if you have a sec to upload one. I'm not against drilling a couple more holes for a better less clunky fit. Mine looks about like yours (thank you for the detailed pics also! Good looking out.)...
I did mine like Hojack and they rub/catch on the seat in both directions, it's kind of a pain in the ass. If I had it to do again I would put the seat back in the up position and bolt them just behind.
Obviously these are in a box in my garage, unfortunately I'm thinking they may not fit at all? They are AEV Salta XR for and FJ60 think it's possible?
The center bore is my main concern they list it as 106.1 but it appears to start at 106.1 at the base then tapers down to the opening which is...
The fine guage wire also seemed to work substantially better than string or fishing line, it allowed me to be slightly more intentful with he direction I wanted it to go in the fender well. Took about 15-20 min for the epoxy to set to a point where I could thread it. I tried a little to early...
I ended up ordering the threaded plate from Seat Belt Planet. To get the plate into position I fished a fine gage wire down through the hole and into the fender well area. A piece of advice I took for the boards was to put some bonding epoxy on the plate and used a nut to act as a stopper so I...
Curious if you had the threaded nut on both sides of the pillar stock? I unfortunately only have it on one side and it seems like a super long shot that I can get the threaded plate worked all the way up the pillar and get it to hold long enough to thread the bolt in? Any advice is...
I'd love to know how your experience goes. I have a 87 FJ60, the windshield was supposed to be replaced today, but when I showed up at the shop the tech said "oh you have a nice one"... Apparently they only work on rusted ones so they can blame windshield leaks on the car vs. craftsmanship...
