So I am looking into this also. The 470 and 460 calipers are identical except for maybe 460 are a little wider to accommodate the rotor.
But wont the 460 caliper have stuck pistons also if they are identical besides width?
You need to get 460 rotors with the 460 calipers, right?
I ended up going with the Mevotech Supreme from Rock Auto which included the ball joint. 3" lift and it went in well. Took about 3 hours total to replace both sides.
Yeah, they look to be the same thickness and material as arm. Almost identical. I was worried about the Rad Rubber only because I got tons of mud in my engine bay. I didn't have the guards though at that time.
Oh, I was installing OCD adjustable swaybar links when I checked this.
Have replaced everything front and back except Steering knuckles, tie rods, bearings, and steering rack
Hey All,
Think I may have found my issue on pulling when under acceleration and braking. Both sides have play in the Steering. It pull left but right side is worse. Here a link to the videos.
Please let me know if this is normal.
Oh interesting. I'll look into the spindle thing. I believe the SPCs are set at E to move them forward just a bit to accommodate 35s. But not on 35s right now.
I don't have the alignment sheet in front of me but he said he got them near spot on to factory. It tracks straight when cruising...
Hi All,
Here is what's going on. When I bought my 08, it drove nice in factory config. The lift came and I had a mechanic install it along with new 285/70R17 Kenda Klever Tires.
This is the day it all started. Here us the lift specs.
Dobinsons IMS 3" hard front
Dobinsons IMS 2" medium rear...
Finished installing the Victory 4x4 bumper.
Added flush mount lights
Added 20 inch light bar
Added 9500 lb wench
Added 2 rock lights on the original bumper pod light mount.
Today, I have been installing my new Victory 4x4 Strike bumper. I'm at the wench stage but had to rest the bumper on to make sure things lined up.
Tolerances are tight but with just enough room for adjustment. It's just resting loosely right now so gaps will fill in when I tighten her up.
What...
Im running 3" front and 2" rear. Thinking about dropping the bar down to the middle hole. Saw a video on youtube about being on the middle hole instead of the top is better for a 2" lift.
New front LCA's
New rear lower and upper track/control arms
New panhard bar
Eimkieth Panhard Correction Kit
4 wheel alignment
Had a nasty pull to the left under throttle and brake. Seems to have cleared it up mostly. Still does it very slightly but hardly noticable. Not sure what else is...
I was going to do this for the lights in the new wench bumper but then found out they turn off when high beams come on. That won't work for me when our in the wild 😥 Looks great though! I like it.
I'm in the Louisville area. Finally got my bumper after 2 months because they had to build it. I went with the Victory 4x4 since it is basically a bolt on.
Got the Dobinsons IMS lift. 3" height adjustable front hard spring with a 2" rear medium spring in the back. I dont plan on a rear bumper...
Hi All,
I ordered a whole set of lower control arms to try and solve my issue thinking it may be a worn out bushing. Basically, under throttle and braking, it pulls pretty hard to one side. Cruising at speed tracks straight.
All parts will be here in 2 days but where can I find the torque...
Gave the girl a well deserved bath after a week vacation of mudding in Alabama Cheap State meetup, camping, then beaches in Georgia, and cabins in Kentucky Red River Gorge.
I never knew mud could get in so many cracks.
Hi All,
I got my lift on last week and got an alignment done. Love how it looks but almost scary to drive. It pulls pretty hard to the left when braking or under acceleration. Tracks straight at cruise. Several people at an event said lower control arm bushings are bad causing the tire to move...
